Monday
A trip today to the hematologist for my 3-month check-up for the CLL.  Trust me, this is totally different from my 3-month check-up with Doc for my diabetes! But it all went very well, even though I had to see a nurse practioner instead of the hematologist - it seems that he is on paternity leave! - but after they drew three vials of blood and put me in a room, I found out that my WBC (white blood count) has improved.  It was 16.9 and now it's 14.3 and that can only be a good thing.  Don't be trying to tell me that prayers don't work!  I was assured that since I am still asymptomatic, and with this good count, all I can do is continue doing what I am, keep my eye out for symptoms, and come back in three months.
After leaving the doctor's office, I went to have lunch at Mama's Grill in Williamsburg.  Oh, they have such a menu - it's hard to choose between breakfast and lunch, let alone choose what exactly I want!  I finally decide on lunch, and start narrowing down my choices from there.  I finally decided on a country fried steak meal with mashed potatoes and a mix of corn and lima beans (aka succotash), and it was oh, so good!  I sat there and enjoyed every single bite!

Once I got home, I changed my clothes and just sat in my recliner.  I was still a little overwhelmed by the news that I am still Stage 0 in the cancer and can pretty confidently be certain to remain there, and I had just had a very good meal.  Yeah, a little nap sounded good.

After that, I worked on the Enderman cake I was making for my great-niece.  I have to deliver it to her birthday party tomorrow, so I have to finish it today - no more excuses!  It's not as easy to put together as I thought it was going to be, and I should have bought a third can of icing, but I didn't, so I have to make do with the two cans.  This is gonna be fun....not.
I do this to the cake and let it set.  I make Ron a cabbage dish for his supper.  I do that to the cake and let it set.  I make myself a bowl/can of chicken noodle soup for my supper and watch some dead guys.  I go to get myself a drink to go to bed, and...there sits the cake!  I forgot about it!  Crap!  Now I have to finish it before I really can go to bed.  About an hour later, I can finally go to bed because now the cake is finished.  Whew!

Tuesday
This is my Happy Homemaker Day this week - kinda.  I can only start a load of laundry (towels) because I have to leave to deliver the cake to the birthday party, which is over in Eastgate at Chuck E. Cheese, and that's not just a little drive from here, you know.
The cake gets delivered and I get back home, where I recline in my recliner for a bit after getting the towels into the dryer.  Sitting and driving for all that time doesn't feel all that great, you know.  After a bit, though, I get up, get my shower, and get ready to go to my TOPS meeting.
Weighing in, I find that I have lost weight this week.  Only .2 of a pound, but it's a loss and I will take it!  We had a short fun meeting this week - I enjoy those a lot when they happen.
Coming home, Ron has supper done - Manwich - and we enjoy supper while watching TV.  He had a movie in and we finished watching that, then it was dead guys.

Wednesday

Happy Homemaker Day.  Whippy Dippy Doo!  Dishes and laundry and other little chores.  Such a fun time - as always - not.  Oh, how I hate housework.
The dishes seem to take me forever and I don't know why.
I had my chicken salad and walnuts for my lunch, which I had around 2:30, knowing that I was not going to have much of a supper.
When Ron got home - early, even! - he went out to work on lawnmowers and piddle around out in the garage and I made him some fried green tomatoes for his supper.  I cooked first three tomatoes in cornmeal and the last two without.  He preferred the plain ones, too.  Crazy man!  I wish he'd make up his mind.  The last time I made them, he told me that he wanted me to make them 'some different way, not just plain.'  I made myself my poor man's shit on a shingle (tuna in potato soup) and that was that.  We each enjoyed an ice cream bar for dessert.

Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment.  He's got to fill out that paper for the DMV so I can keep my driver's license.  Sigh.
