The Second Day...

Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - I got up at 10 this morning!  10!  I could not believe it - I didn't really sleep worth a hoot.  Way too much going on in my brain.  It sure didn't seem like I even fell asleep, just like I was still laying there thinking.  But I didn't hear Ron leave for work, so I guess there was some sleep in there somehow.  But it wasn't good sleep, so to get up before the alarm went off - I have it set for 10 - is kinda weird.

I had lunch around 12:30.  I wasn't really all that hungry, so I just had a package (not a box, a package of 2) of PopTarts.  I had the Chocolate Frosted Peanut Butter ones.  At quarter til 4, I did the Wii.  I meant to do only 15 minutes, but ended up doing just over 20 minutes.  My legs were a bit trembly, nothing like they were yesterday, and I was feeling real proud of myself.  THEN I did the Body Test part of the Wii.....I gained 2.2 pounds since yesterday!!  Whaaaaaat!!!  I couldn't believe it - I was totally shocked.  So much for eating good and doing exercise, huh.  So, I convinced myself that I turned some fat into muscle (yeah, right, I know...) and cheered myself up just a bit and got some veggies ready for supper.

I talked to my daughter-in-law while playing games on the computer, and we decided to have supper out in Chilo Park tonight.  Ron has been getting home a bit early so far this week, so I thought this would work out okay for us.  She had made cooked cabbage for them, and could transport it easy enough for all of them.  I would make something for me, and we would meet them there.  Well, of course, since I had planned something, Ron didn't make it home until 20 til 7.  I had tried to tell them not to plan to meet until at least 6:30, but they wanted to get there at 6, so....they had time to kill til we got there.  One of these days, someone somewhere will realize that I might - just might - know what I'm talking about every once in a while.

In the meantime, I packed string cheese, made me a bowl of tuna salad, got veggies (red cabbage, radishes, green peppers, turnips, and tomatoes) ready to take with us, so when Ron got home, he only had to wash up, change his clothes, and off we could go.  I also packed a couple of Oatmeal Creme Pies for dessert.  One for me, one for Ron.

He got home, off we went, and enjoyed the outdoor supper - and the MILE-LONG nature walk afterward.

My hips are still killing me.  They may not forgive me tonight.
