Starting with the new exercise repertoire...yep. Uh-huh.

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

I started off today with the alarm blaring at 9:30.  Ugh!  I had to answer the call, though, and get up, get a shower, lotion up, and get dressed and get up to a meeting at church by 10:45.  It's the annual meeting of the Bereavement Committee, and I have no excuse to miss it since I'm not working any more - not that I want to miss it.  I do enjoy serving in this capacity, and certainly hope I can continue to do so.
After the meeting, my friend Beverly and I went to lunch at Frisch's.  If I had remembered about this meeting yesterday, I would have waited to come do my running one more day, but I didn't, and so I am eating bad two days in a row.  Today, I chose to have a pork tenderloin sandwich and fries.  I suppose I should have had a chili or a veggie soup instead of the fries, but I didn't, and I paid for it with the bigger calorie count.  Beverly and I sat there talking until 2:30 - just about 2 and a half hours, and it was very nice!

I got back home, and did my 5-minute walk up and down the hallway here in the house.  I figured I'd be walking down Hoover Road to meet Ron later, and doing this would meet my criteria for now.  After my 'walk,' I played on the pute, did up the rest of the dishes - pans - that were left yesterday, and did a load of towels.  Whew!  Playing Happy Homemaker 2 days in a row!  I can't stand it!
Ron called me a little after 5 to tell me that he's going to be late, and he probably won't get to see me before I leave for my TOPS meeting.  Great!  There goes my afternoon walk...
I wait until after 6, and I still haven't heard from him, so I start walking up and down the hallway again, and then he texts me that he's on 774.  So, instead of stopping, putting on my gym shoes and starting down Hoover Road, I just walk up and down the hallway until he got home.  I walk way longer than 5 minutes, but still probably only about half a mile.  At least I did get my second walk in today!  Ron looked at me like I was nuts when he came in, too - but he knows, doesn't he, just how true that is?  I got to see him for about 5 minutes before time to leave, so I suppose that was good.

I got to my meeting and weighed in.  Remember those 4 pounds I lost last week?  Yep, I gained them back.  Dammit!  Why?  I know I didn't eat great over the weekend, but I've been trying the meat-and-beans meals for a little over a week now, and have been doing good on the exercise repertoire, too.  Oh, well, I'll just keep at it.  October is a whole new month!

Not a surprise, I am over on my calorie count when I put my food and exercise in MFP tonight.
