I got up this morning around 10:30. I was gonna snuggle down after turning off the alarm, but something thumped into the end of the house and scared the crap outta me! I had, just HAD to get up, throw on a housedress and go outside and see if I could see anything, which, of course, I couldn't. So, then, since I was up, I went ahead and took all my pills and got dressed.
I had some errands to do today, so after getting on the computer and catching up on all my games, I went to get my running done. I knew they would take a while, so I figured most of my afternoon was shot. I was right.
While I was out running my errands, I stopped at Bob Evans for my lunch. I got the Chicken Salad Plate. I was leaning toward breakfast, but decided to be good. I just love this chicken salad - it is real chicken salad, not a salad with chicken nuggets cut into strips laying on top of it. It is also surrounded by fruit, on top of a bed of lettuce (lettuce/red cabbage/carrot mix), with pecans sprinkled on top of it. It is very tasty, and a very good meal. Of course, I ruined by having four slices of banana nut bread. I usually - yes, usually - only have two slices, but by the time I stopped, I was pretty hungry and most probably starting a sugar low, so I scarfed the first two down pretty quickly before I even got my plate. I then got the second two so I could use them to clean my plate.
Once I got home, I carried in my stuff, got back on the computer and got my games all caught back up. I noticed that it was getting late, and I should do my Wii exercises/training, but decided not to because of the running I had done. All the getting in and out of the car, all the walking through different stores, was enough for today, I reasoned. Probably not a wise decision, considering that I still need to get used to doing "all" this exercise every day, but that's how I felt today, so I didn't do it.
I was rather bummed out after doing all the running around. Paying bills when I returned home didn't help a whole hell of a lot, so I just said heck with it for today. I can pick it up again tomorrow.
Then, Ron got home - late again, close to seven. He put on the Wii to do our Body Tests while we were zapping our frozen dinners for supper. He did his, and he had lost a bit of weight (yay, him!) and then I did mine. I GAINED another pound. I just don't get it. I fuss and cuss and slam things around and Ron says, "Here's your supper" and sits my little frozen dinner on the desk for me. Sigh. So I calm down a little, go out and get my bag of veggies out of the fridge and sit down to eat.
Supper is a tuna noodle casserole and a bunch of veggies (tomatoes, green peppers, turnips, and red cabbage). Whoo-hoo. I am so bummed now. Good thing there are NO potato chips in the house! I do treat myself to an ice cream bar for dessert.
I consider today a four-star day in the eating department. It would be five-star, but the extra bread at lunch and the dessert put a stop to that. It is only a two-star in the exercise department.
Tomorrow is another day.

I did more housework today as activity. still feeling wrung out, so I congratulate myself for not taking any extra naps today, just my normal one, and at the normal time. thinking about and resisting going to bed early tonight (now)
ReplyDeletehad a bacon sandwich, 5 strips bacon for lunch, mac&cheese and mashed potatoes for supper, and a bit of pork steak. Oh, yeah, and a mystery airhead I found in Rex's medicine. That's the flavor name, mystery, not a euphemism for faded wrapper or anything like that. Also three small squares of nobakes, 2 peanut butter, one chocolate.
