I slept in this morning until 11. I don't remember turning the alarm off, but I must have. I was having strange dreams, and was waiting for it to go off, so it is just possible that I did forget to set it last night - stranger things have happened, that's for sure.
I didn't make myself lunch until 1:30, even though I was really hungry when I got up. That doesn't happen often - usually my stomach rebels at the thought of food until I've been up for a while. But I made my stomach wait, as I do most days. Then I made an egg sandwich (3 eggs on slices of bread). I have gone back to using the diet (35 calories each slice) Aunt Millie's Potato Bread, instead of regular white bread. I think it does make a bit of a difference.
I did my Wii training at 4:25, aiming for "working out" for half an hour. I did it! I was so proud of myself! My legs were a bit trembly in the calves at the end, but I hung in there til the end. At 4:55, I did the Body Test so I could turn the TV back off before Ron got home from work - I had left it just a bit late - and FINALLY - success at the scale! I was so happy, I could have done cartwheels! I was down 4 pounds! Whoo-hoo! About damn time!
Believe it or not, I had just got the TV turned off and back at my desk, when Ron pulled in from work. I was so surprised. So early on a Friday! So, he and Corgan came in and we discussed where to go out to supper tonight. I thought, since it was such pleasant weather, we should find somewhere that we could sit outside to eat. We finally decided to go all the way down to Great Scott's, since we had just gone down to sit on the river last weekend. We headed on down the road, and when we passed Campbell's Barn, we realized that they have a patio now, so we turned around at WalMart and went back to the Barn instead of driving all the way down the road.
As we were sitting there waiting for our food, I started a sugar low. I started shaking and sweat just poured off of my head. Boy, they could NOT bring that food fast enough! I was glad that I had ordered the country fried steak (with mashed potatoes and green beans) instead of the big salad or the wrap I had been thinking about. I was good - to a certain extent - by only putting ONE pat of butter in my mashed potatoes. Anyone who knows me, knows that this is rather amazing. I did use the dinner roll to sop up all the gravy left on my plate, too. I figured, better safe than sorry at that point. After we ate, we went over to WalMart for a few items. We only went to HBA & men's clothes, so it wasn't a whole store full of walking. I was still weak from the sugar low, so I don't think I could have done much more than what we did.
On our way home, Ron and I decided we would like an ice cream cone - and to us, an ice cream cone is vanilla ice cream dipped in a peanut butter coating - and when Corgan started questioning us "what is that? Peanut butter ice cream?" then we KNEW we had to go treat ourselves, so we did. They didn't even melt all that much - nothing like a little napkin stuck to the cone to put some fiber in your diet. HA HA.
We then sat outside by the firepit for about an hour until Ron got too tired and had to call it a night. It was a beautiful evening. Moderate temperature, very few bugs, and our own little firetender so all we had to do was sit there and enjoy. It was nice.
I am considering today a four-star food day. Even though I had a little bit bigger supper than usual, the demands of my body made it ok for me today.
Today was a four-star exercise day also. Between the half hour of Wii training and the walking through WalMart, I got in a decent amount of exercise.
I am very happy with today (minus the sugar low).

Congrats for the proof! That's great.
ReplyDeleteToday I ate two pb&j sandwiches witha bag of chips ($1 size) For supper I had 2 bowls of cereal with milk. also had 1/3 of a Little Debbie Brownie.
For exercise I walked across the street and two doors down twice, and the second return journey I dragged a chair with me. Also helped Tracy with another chair, and then, after a careful inspection with a magnifying glass, I wrestled them into the house. That was plenty of exercise for me! (I now have living room chairs in my living room again.)
You did good with exercise today! Still a LOT of carbs, though. Maybe next time, use the pb as dunk for the chips and you can cut out all the bread.....just a thought.....stick with it! I was soooooooo happy to see some kind of result. Finally.
