Today has been one pisser of a day. First of all, when I got up, my legs still hurt tremendously from all the yardwork yesterday, and I had some tough decisions to make ALL day. Some just to move or not...
I got up around 10:30 this morning. I didn't want to get up then, but didn't feel like laying in bed, either, so I finally got "up." Didn't really get "at it," though, since I was so sore I could barely move!
Since I didn't feel so great, I didn't eat any type of lunch until almost 1:00, and then I had the rest of the jar of dry roasted peanuts, a slice of Colby Jack cheese, and a string cheese. Actually, I had the CJ cheese first, then decided I might as well eat some "real" lunch, so scavenged and found the rest. Then I realized that I had forgotten to take the pill I only take twice a week (twice a day, twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays) so I had to eat something else so I wouldn't tear my stomach up with this pill. Then I had a cinnamon roll (brought home from Bob Evans yesterday) to top off my huge lunch. So, lunch wasn't the best of choices, and I still didn't feel so hot. I just sat and played around on the computer until 2:30, then got up and did my Wii training. I thought maybe doing something would help me to feel a bit better. I was wrong.
I could only do 15 minutes on the Wii because my legs hurt so bad, so that made me feel a little worse mentally, as well as the general not-so-good I was already not feeling. Ugh. After the training, then I did the Body Test and, according to it, I have gained 4 pounds since Saturday! Say what! I just couldn't believe it. I turned off the TV, turned off the computer, and went outside to sit in my yard and try to enjoy the out-of-doors for a bit and break this stupid mood. I sat outside reading until Ron came home, then came in and did 15 more minutes of training while he ate his supper (cooked cabbage (puke) and a glass of milk) and - believe it or not - it said then that I had gained a bit more! Geez!! I can't win for losing today! I took the earlier reading as the reading for today. I ain't no dummy!!
Then, I made my supper - tonight I had a lunchmeat sandwich with mayo (okay, Miracle Whip) and a few chips - yes, just a few, maybe 15 - 20 - and then an Eskimo Pie ice cream for dessert. And, yes, I remembered to take my pill while eating my supper, thank you.
That's it for today, and DAMN am I glad it's over.

Most weight loss plans, programs and advisers say NOT to weigh every day. With your legs hurting, I'll bet you're holding water -- the body likes to lubricate the squeaky bits. You should weigh once a week, the same general time every week. (Of course, I weigh myself every day and have had variations up to 7 pounds per day -- usually on the gsin side.
ReplyDeleteMy report for today: 10 crackers, a bowl of cereal, a plate of spaghetti with bread and butter. unsweetened tea to drink all day, after my to cups of coffee. been snacking on cheese crakers (generic Cheezit). Oh, and one homemade brownie, about 2 1/2 inches square.
Got all the laundry put away, dug boxes out from under the bed, grouped clothes to be sorted, put away a few dishes. Got out my pedaler, too, but haven't used it as yet. Spent an hour writing.

A little bit more exercise you got snuck in there, good for you! Still a lot of carbs, though. Crackers and cereal and spaghetti and bread. You've got to find a way to get a bit more protein in somehow. I know it's hard, though, and carbs are the easiest and best-tasting!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy my tea all day (I make a large cup, then pour it over into my cup of ice all day long) and it is decaf now, here at home. When we go out, I just drink regular tea, cause it was too much of a pain of the ass to carry decaf powder and get a cup of water & a cup of ice, etc., etc. At home, I do stick with decaf. Once I've exhausted the large cup, I go to ice water, occasionally using a bottle of water with flavor in it if I am tired of plain water. Didn't think about listing my drinks, since it's always the same....lol
