The week after a holiday is usually quite boring, and this week was no exception. I didn't go anywhere during the day, and I only went to TOPS on Tuesday evening. It was not a fun week...until today.
Since I had done my Happy Homemaker stint on Monday, there wasn't a whole lot for me to do on Tuesday, so I spent the day in my recliner. That was a good thing, because it was a rainy day, and my back wasn't real happy all day, anyway. I had to put cream on my back twice - once when I first got up, and again around 5:00. I didn't walk out to meet Ron, either. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get very far.
I went to my TOPS meeting, though, sad as it was. I found that I had gained a pound, which wasn't surprising with the holiday and all. I was extremely glad that it was just one pound! Not very many showed up for this meeting so we just skimmed over the highlights and cut it short, too, which was fine with me. I went up to Arby's and got us their Chicken Salad (Ron a sandwich, me a wrap) for our supper. It was good, as always.
I didn't feel real well on Wednesday - just kinda blah. I didn't want to move - at all. I went from the bed to the recliner and that was that. I later found out that my sister had fallen during the day and my brother was having a rough emotional day - no wonder I didn't want to move! My psyche was being attacked! (We have always 'known' when something is going on with another one of us.) Again, I didn't walk out to meet Ron, and he was a little worried, but he understood once he got home.
He made one of his frozen Chinese things for his supper, and I had a pound of bacon. With a can of sausage gravy -- I thought that Corgan had left some of a Country Fried Steak here on Sunday, and that was what I was going to have with the gravy, but when I opened the box, there was only a bite left! Well, crap!! So, since I had already cooked the gravy, I just made the bacon and dipped it in the gravy. Different, but very tasty!
Thursday - I woke today to a wave of vertigo during a potty run. "No! No, no, no!" I thought/said/prayed, and went back to sleep. When I woke up later, it wasn't there - thank the good Lord! I had things to do today!
I left at 12:30, because I had to stop at McDonald's to pick up their donation for the church, then I went to meet others to make up baskets for the Pig Roast (at church, what all these donations are for) and the afternoon flew by....
I stopped at Gold Star for my lunch on the way home, having my Gorito and Chili Cheese Fries.
After Ron got home, he changed the tire on my car while I cooked some pork chops for our supper. He zapped some baked beans from the fridge to go with his, and I finally ate my pork chop around 8:30.
That was the big exciting day this week!
Tomorrow I am meeting a friend from TOPS for lunch to discuss our Christmas in July dinner (and entertainment) and then do my shopping, as usual on a Friday. No exciting plans for the weekend - we won't have Corgan, so I'm sure we'll just be staying home. Yippee Yi Ay.
