Today started last night, if you will. I did not sleep well last night (surprise, right?) With this storm bearing down on us, and knowing that Ron had to get up for work in the middle of the night, I was very restless, waking every time he turned over or got up to go pee and, finally, when his alarm went off.
Finally, though, after getting up and checking the driveway and road and all, he decided that it just wasn't worth it. He was going to stay home today. I was really shocked - he just does not miss work - but either the wreck he had really rattled him or knocked some sense into him. I don't really care which, I am glad he's not putting himself into danger right now. He called in, then came back to bed.
We both snuggled in, and slept the best sleep of the night. He got up around 9, I think, and I got up around 11 or so.
He, of course, had the TV on and was ensconced in his recliner. I went ahead and did my normal Monday morning Happy Homemaker stuff. Man, do we use a lot of dishes over the weekend! I got on the pute as I normally do as different things were soaking in the dishwater, and my day went on as my days do.
I had a meeting scheduled tonight up at the library, and I had to decide if I was actually going to go to this meeting or not. As the day went on, the sun was shining, which surprised us - we thought it was supposed to be stormy all day today - and so we went out to see if it was possible to clean the sidewalk and my car. It was. It was very easy, as a matter of fact, and we got the job done in less than 15 minutes. So - I am going to the meeting. I come in and change into decent clothes, watch the weather part of the 5:30 news, and off I went. I was the only person who showed up besides the 'hostess' or the one who set up the meeting. That was a little disappointing, but not a surprise, seeing as how it stormed like it did. Natalie and I talked things over, and that was that. She'll set up another meeting, we have plenty of time for planning our 40th class reunion. The roads were okay, and it's supposed to start warming up now, thank goodness. We'll find out if Mother Nature has any more temper tantrums in store for us.
When I got home, I made our supper. Hot dogs and baked potatoes. I used my new thingy to bake the potatoes in the microwave. It worked just fine! It cooked the potatoes in less time than it took the hot dogs to boil, so that was a good thing. I had butter, Bacon Bacon, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese on my potato - I'm not sure what Ron had on his.
We watched game shows and then dead guys while we ate supper, and then into the evening.
When I put my food into MFP, I was under by just 15 calories. But - I hadn't put the Bacon Bacon or the cheese in there, so I was really over. Boo. (I was being lazy and just didn't want to look up those minuscule amounts of those items, so I didn't put them in there...)
I am tired. I think I'll check my games one more time, then go to bed early tonight.
