3/10
I got up this morning and started doing my Happy Homemaker thing - not that I wanted to, but because it sure needed done.  I got a load of towels done, and most of the dishes caught up, and then I got the brilliant idea to go uptown and do some errands and have my lunch at Gold Star and send pictures to my brother to aggravate him on his birthday.  BIG MISTAKE, especially with my weigh-in tonight.
Josh and I also had to go back down to Verizon again today, because the hard reset didn't work on one of his tablets.  What a pain in the ass!  I had to gather everything I needed for my meeting and take with me, because I wouldn't get back in time to go home, then get back uptown for the meeting.  So, now, I'm not sure if it was because I waited too late to go uptown, or because I sat in a car most of the afternoon, or what, but my weigh-in was a disaster!  After the Wii telling me that I lost 2 pounds on Saturday morning, I had high hopes for today.  But -- no, it wasn't to be.  According to the TOPS scale, I have gained 6 (yes, SIX) pounds.  Ugh.  Man, did that ruin my night!
When I got home, we had the chicken breasts that I had put in the crockpot this morning for our supper.  Nothing else, because Ron fell asleep and didn't make anything else.  I guess, in a way, that was a good thing.

3/11
I had a lunch date with my friend Kathy today.  I went down the road to meet her, but she ended up being tied up with work and not able to get away, so we're going to reschedule.  I went over to Teresa's, hoping to be able to throw together a Bert, Teresa, and Rita Day, but she was still watching her great-niece and was ready to lay down for a nap once she left, so didn't want to go out.  Phooey!  I ended up going over to Longhorn by myself and having my almost-perfect salad.  Man, I do like that salad!  I also went to various businesses and canvassed for donations for the upcoming fundraiser at church - we're having a nickel raffle this time - and I got some results, but also left a few letters at places.
I had only been home 5 to 10 minutes when Ron texted me, but I walked out to meet him.  When we got home, we hung the Easter eggs on the trees and bushes in the front yard because it was so nice outside.  It was a little mushy because of the rain that had happened, but it wasn't too bad.
We had supper - a frozen Chinese thing for him, and chicken noodle soup for me.

3/12
I got up early today.  I went to my friend Jody's dad's funeral as support for her.  This whole week has been really hard for her, and I wanted to be there for her.  You all know what a sacrifice it is for me to get my lazy ass up out of bed!
When I left the house, I forgot to put my pocket stuff into my pockets, so after the funeral, I went back home instead of running the errands that I had planned on running.  I stayed home for a while, playing Happy Homemaker and taking a break playing on the pute, then went back uptown (yes, checking my pockets quite a few times!) to run my errands.  Being bad, I went to Gold Star for my lunch.  I figured that this week is already shot to hell, so why not?
I got back home, piddled around doing this and that, and when Ron got home, we played on the Wii for about an hour before making supper.  We had cheese weenies, and he had pinto beans with his.

3/13
Today is going to be a melancholy day.  First of all, it's supposed to rain.  ALL freaking day.  Great.  Just what we need - for today is the day that we are laying Rex to rest.  Oh, well.  I guess we shouldn't be surprised, huh?  Tammy loves the rain, Tracy loves the gloom, and why not today?  I've been setting this up for Ruth (being the go-between, if you will) because she lives where she does and I'm right here, and finally- Finally - this day is here!  All has been situated, and it's time.
I have everything all set out to load into the car and take with me, and do so.  I am leaving early to meet Bert for lunch at Frisch's, and then we both are going to the cemetery.  Sitting there with Bert, I reach for my Chapstick, and - guess what? - I have forgotten all of my pocket stuff again!  What a freaking dork I am!  I tell Bert my dilemma, and she's got my back.  Yay, Bert!  I tell her that I'll take care of her next time, and we're all good.  I am still calling myself all kinds of names, though - what kind of idiot does that 2 days in a row?
We get over to the cemetery, and I go to get the stuff for Ruth out of my car, and I find out that I have forgotten something else, too.  It's sitting right there in my living room, too, so I won't forget it! Oh, how aggravating! It ended up in Ruth's favor that I forgot this, though, so that's definitely a good thing, but still...
I had made, or rather had ordered (had Shutterfly make) a photo pillow for Ruth, to commemorate this day.  I wish I could have been able to afford the blanket, but 1) I didn't have the funds and 2) I don't have that many pictures of Rex, so I just had the pillow made.  The front has 4 pictures - Rex; Rex and Ruth; Rex and Hailey (granddaughter); Rex and Warren (grandson), and the back has Ruth's all-time favorite picture of Rex with a red border.  I warned Ruth that I was going to make her cry today, but she didn't cry.  She was definitely moved, though, and she wouldn't let go of the pillow the rest of the time.  That was good enough for me!
We all finally get together (Josh and Jean were a few minutes late because of the rain), and we get the service started.  It didn't take long, and at the end we spoke of Rex and then it was over.  Fr. Mike did a very good job, considering that he is very much removed from them.

Afterward, Jean came out to the house and hung with me for a bit.  She dropped off some Easter Bunny goodies, as well.  (My closet is getting full!)  She kept hoping the rain would let up a little so she could drive home in relative peace, but it didn't happen.  She finally left, grumbling the whole time.  I can't blame her.  Driving in the rain is not fun.

Ron got here with Corgan, and our evening started.  Ron played a little bit of Wii and then turned the TV over to Corgan.
I made fish patties and potato wedges for supper - they came out much better this time!  The thicker ones weren't quite done (still kinda hard in the middle), but they weren't burnt.  They were quite tasty.

Ron is sleeping.
Corgan is TVing.
I am puting.
Whee!
