3/7
Ahhh, the weekend!  Ron let me sleep in while he and Corgan ran up to Georgetown and got his plates and driver's license renewed, and then they piddled around out in the garage and driveway until I woke (and got) up.  I did my usual thing, waking around 10-10:30, and only minimally played on my tablet, catching my games up, and then got up.
I did my weigh-in, and HALLELUJAH I've lost 2 pounds this week!  It's about time!  I felt really good as I got dressed and we got started down the road to do our errands, starting with feeding our faces.  Corgan tried hard to talk me into letting him only wear his T-Shirt since the temps were over 40, but I was the mean Granny and said no, he had to leave his hoodie on, because of the wind blowing.  He wasn't happy, but I stood firm.  Our first stop was the drive-thru at Walgreen's for prescriptions, but it was full - FOUR cars already there, so we parked and I went in.
After some discussion when back on the road, we decided to go to Longhorn's for our lunch.  Corgan and Ron both got steaks, while I had my almost-perfect salad.  We did a couple of appetizers (the stuffed mushrooms and the sweet corn fritters) and they were both excellent!  We took our time enjoying every bite of our food, and when we finally left, we went over to Jungle Jim's, where we got a pack of ribs for Ron to cook up for our supper tonight, as well as some other things that we spotted.
After that, we stopped at Kroger to get Ron's tonic water and I checked the seasonal aisle out pretty thoroughly.  You know I don't get to Kroger very often, so I have to take advantage of it when I'm there!  We were going to go to WalMart after that, but Ron was starting to be a cranky-ass, so we chose to go on home, and he and I would go to WalMart tomorrow after church.

Corgan ran right back into his bedroom to take off his hoodie since we were home, while Ron fussed about not having enough time to fix the ribs the way he likes to, but Corgan and I kept telling him that they'd be fine, and that they'd get eaten, and we left him alone in the kitchen to do his thing.  He did make a few plain for me, and he barbequed up the rest for everyone else.  He made macaroni and cheese, green beans, and corn for the sides.  Josh brought some salad from his house, and I had some veggies (turnips, broccoli, and celery) that I had cut up, and we had those, too.  It was a great meal!
When we were finally done eating, we - all of us but Ron - played board games.  Whoever won got to choose the next game, and we ended up playing 3 games.  We would have played another, but the first one just plain ol' took too long.

After they left, I set the clocks all ahead the required hour and Ron and I went to bed.
Tomorrow - church, lunch, and more shopping!

3/8
After church today, we went to lunch at Campbell's Barn, where Ron totally surprised me - he did NOT order fried chicken!  How about that?  Where's my real Ron?  He got a mushroom burger with fries (he usually says he doesn't like their fries), while I got the chicken wrap that I usually get (when I don't get the bacon cheeseburger) with fries (that I like).  He ate as slow as he possibly could, because he knew when we were done, we were going shopping at WalMart.  He was funny!  He still beat me done, though.  I have started chewing each bite 10 times again - I had gotten away from that - but he started grousing already.  Men!!
In WalMart, we wandered the whole store picking up all the things we've needed but not gotten because we just couldn't afford it.  Yay, tax refunds!  Ron is ready to go before we've even covered half the store....men...

We didn't get home until after 4, and then we had to put everything away.  Yeah, Ron groused about that, too.  But it had to be done, and it eventually got done.
We crashed and watched TV the rest of the night.

OH!!  The watching TV part?  One thing I found - not at WalMart, somewhere else - was Seasons 1 and 2 of Starsky and Hutch, and we've been watching those.  We've been laughing our asses off!  The things that were so up-to-date at the time and are now so out-dated is something else.  Payphones that take a dime, XXX movies (they meet Huggy Bear there a lot) that show 3 shows for $1.50, store signs, gasoline prices, and all that - it's hilarious!!  Ron spends the whole time "recognizing" the cars while I try to recognize the actors, and sometimes I succeed, but I know that I know the faces, but the names just don't pop into my brain.

No plans for tomorrow, just Happy Homemaker crap.

3/9
After I woke up this morning and was tableting while lying in bed, I got a text from a friend who wanted to come over and play on the Wii with me.  I took her, "Sure!" and we arranged a time.  I then got up, did up some of the weekend dishes - no time to really play Happy Homemaker, ate a banana for my lunch, and was ready when she got here.
After she got her Mii all set up and we were ready, we then played on the Wii for over an hour and a half.  We did the training exercises, with whoever had the better score choosing the next game.  After we did all of those, and some a couple of times, we played the 100-pin bowling game (from the Resort disc) and she really enjoyed that.  She said it was the first time she's EVER bowled a 1400+ game!  We agreed that we'll have to do this again - it was certainly much more fun than exercising alone.
After she left, I went down to meet Josh so we could go down to Verizon to try to get their tablets figured out.  We weren't looking forward to it, not at this time of day, especially on a Monday, but it needed to be done.  Their parking lot was so crowded that Josh ended up parking over at Waffle House!  We probably sat in the Verizon store for about 45 minutes before we were waited on, and then another half hour before the problem was solved.  Geez!  Then Josh and I went over to Waffle House to get a bite to eat before heading for home.

Ron had already eaten when I got home, and we just watched TV - Starsky and Hutch episodes - until Ron fell asleep.
Normal evening.

Tomorrow, I get to play the Happy Homemaker that I didn't get to play today.  Then the big test - my TOPS meeting.  Ugh.
