As you know, I had a couple of projects on the agenda today, neither of which I particularly looked forward to doing. After I woke up, I lazed in bed, reading and tableting as long as I could, but then I finally had to face the day. So, here I was.
I chose to do the budget as opposed to the taxes. I'm not sure why - they both need done, and, actually, the taxes will probably be a little more satisfying in the end (because I KNOW for a fact that there is no money to pay the bills that have accumulated) - but that's the one chose for today.
I got all the paraphernalia needed - all the mail, the calculator, the ledger, my blank calendar, a pen, the shredder, etc. - and settled in at the table. Trust me, this is no job for a little ol' desk!
Two and a half hours later, I have everything caught up. I have everything written in the ledger, I have my calendar marked for the next 3 months, I have all the newest bills of the ones that can't get paid not only written, but in the book and ledger and all the old ones shredded. If I allowed myself to be, I would be terribly depressed!! What an awful picture this presents - and the hole became deeper when I found bills from our colonoscopies last November, too. Since Ron doesn't get sick or go to doctors unless vitally necessary, between the hospital and the doctor, we owe more than what I already knew about, and already can't pay. Good thing he has insurance that paid a good healthy chunk of those bills! Ugh, ugh, and double ugh.
After putting all that stuff away, I let myself just chill in my recliner for half an hour or so, then I decided it was time to do my Wii Fit. I got it all set up, and started on doing my easy little exercises. I surprised myself today - I kicked ass on that Wii!! Not only did I feel good doing the exercises, I was able to get up on the board (that means having a high score) at the end of every exercise I did today - all but one, anyway. The only one I didn't was one (the snowball fight) that Corgan reigns as king on. I don't think I'll ever even get close to getting on the board on that one! I also pushed myself and did a more intense exercise - Rhythm Parade. It's like marching in a band in a parade. My hips and legs got tired pretty quickly, but my back did just fine!
Ron texted me, and then came home, while I was doing the Wii Fit. I had to text him back that I wasn't going to walk out to meet him, because I was in the middle of doing this. I didn't want to stop.
Back in August, we had put green beans in the freezer and I had gotten a pack of them out last night, to cook for our supper tonight. Well, dummy me forgot to cook the beans today!! I totally forgot that I was planning to cook them. When Ron came in, just about the first thing he said, after giving a big sniff, was, "Are the green beans cooking?" I just stared dumbly at him for a moment, then admitted to not cooking them today. Oh, you should have seen his face fall! I guess we know what we'll be having for supper tomorrow, huh? I'm writing myself a big note and leaving it on the table to turn the damn beans ON.
We discussed what to have for supper, then, since the beans were not an option. He mentioned fried potatoes (for the second day in a row), and so I thought up a meal around them. I did have the potatoes, but not the 'snausages,' so I couldn't make the dish I usually make, and had to do some thinking. I finally made cheese weenies (I had thought about fish patties) for the meat and mixed green beans (from a can) and peas (about half a can) for the vegetable to go with the fried potatoes, which, of course, was the starch/carb. Oh, man, was it good!! I love fried potatoes!!
No good dead guys were on tonight, so we spent the night watching Family Feud, with some Newlywed Game thrown in. Yep. We livin' high now! hahahahahaha
Shopping tomorrow - maybe. I might wait and do it Saturday. I'll wait and see how I feel in the morning.
