2/20
Friday!
Get-out-of-the-house-day!
I woke up early this morning, and had to make myself stay in bed, doing my normal reading/tableting, even though I still ended up getting up, getting dressed, and getting out of the house by 11.  I was that anxious to do something!
As I was driving into Amelia to go to Walgreen's to pick up prescriptions, I called Josh to see if he wanted to come meet me for lunch.  He takes his lunch at 11:30, and I thought maybe he'd indulge his mother.  Ha!  Well, he didn't really want to - he said he had too much work to catch up on (he'd missed a day of work because of the weather), but he had Corgan with him today, and I finally talked him into it.  Yay!  So, he and Corgan came down to Bob Evans and joined me for lunch.  We had a nice time, taking our time and just enjoying the time together.  Corgan got the Broasted Chicken, Josh got the Farmhouse Burger, and I had a stack of cinnamon pancakes.
After eating, I was going shopping, so to give Josh a little break, I took Corgan shopping with me.  (There's not a lot for a kid to do at a grown-up's work, you know.  The shine wears off after a couple of hours.)  After the shopping, during which Corgan got a 'goodie' from Granny, of course, I dropped him back off at Dad's work, then I came on home.
I got all the groceries carried in, then put away, which took up the rest of the afternoon.
Ron got home and took his time getting his shower and all, since we didn't have any plans until around 6.  I decided to go ahead and make the covered dish for the funeral luncheon that is going on tomorrow, just in case we won't be able to come out tomorrow because more weather is supposed to be coming in overnight and early morning.  I figured if I take it up tonight, then at least it will be there, even if we don't get to show up for the funeral.  I did have to run over to Felicity to pick up the one item that I had forgotten while shopping...phooey!
Then we went up to the Fish Fry - we always go to the one at our church first! - where we were told that there is a headlight out on my car (wonderful...), and though we weren't planning to do so, we met our friends John and Beverly up there and joined them to eat our supper(s).  It was a pleasant evening, and we sat there talking until the end of the Fish Fry.
We came home and just watched TV the rest of the night.

The weather they called for happened.  I can't believe that they are accurately forecasting all of this!  This is rather amazing to me - I thought for sure that since they had hit most of this week, they would miss something here pretty darn soon, but nooooo.  The road is a total mess, and it's still snowing - and didn't quit all - and I mean ALL - day.  Great big, wet, beautiful flakes!  This is the best kind of snow - it moves easily (shoveling, plowing) but is very heavy.  This is what they call "heart attack snow."
Ron and I just stayed home all day.  I was glad that I had taken that dish up to the church last night, and I was a bit sorry for the people going to the funeral in this.  I wish we had the gumption to go, but we thought it best not to chance it, not if we really didn't have to.  People were just crawling by, and, trust me, they normally f.l.y.!
I did my weigh-in, and totally wished that I could pretend that I hadn't.  UGH!!  According to my Wii, I have gained another pound and a half.  Another...sigh.
We kept ourselves occupied, though.  We did our Wii Fit contest, we just played Wii games (bowling, golf, mini golf, tennis), we watched movies, we watched dead guys and game shows, and the day went on by.  We did go outside around 5 to sweep the sidewalk and clean off the cars, just so all the snow that was on them wouldn't freeze and be ice in the morning.  I also drove the car up and down the driveway, so there would be tracks through this deep snow to follow in the morning, just to make it a little bit easier.  The snow moved easily enough, although I do think Ron had the easier job of cleaning off the cars.  This snow didn't sweep so very easy...

2/22
The alarm went off this morning, as usual, at 9, and we left to go to church at 10.  There had been no new weather overnight - the temperature had just dropped - and the roads were clear, just wet, and we had no problems whatsoever.  I hope it was thanks to our thinking ahead yesterday - a little bit, anyway.
After church, we drove up to Mt. Orab to meet our friends Harry and Donna at Mi Camino Real.  They hadn't been there before, and this seemed to be as good as time as any to go.  We all had a good time, and they really enjoyed the place and the food.  They said that they'd go there again.  I'm glad they liked it.  It bothers me when you (me, in this case) suggest a place, but then the people you suggested it to end up not liking it.  We didn't get home from lunch until after 3 - that's how good of a time we had/were having!

Ron watched more of his movies (the ones he got for Christmas) while I played on my tablet after we got home, which is how the evening passed.  I did finally make us cheese weenies for supper around 8.  We thought about not having supper, but then decided that that wouldn't be a good idea, so we just had those.

Nothing planned for tomorrow.  I do need to start - or rather, get back to - some serious exercising.  I am tired of going the wrong way!  I like being able to say "I've lost 65 pounds," and if I keep going the wrong way, I'm going to have to change that number, and I don't wanna!  If I change it, I want it to be a larger number, not a smaller one!
