Today started out as a normal Sunday. The alarm went off at 9, Ron and I moaned, groaned, griped and complained while getting up and getting ready to go to church. But, by golly, we did it. We got out of the house right on time, right at 10, which in and of itself, is a small miracle, but - what can I say? It does happen.
After church, we went up to Georgetown to Country Inn for our lunch, which again is part of a normal Sunday. Ron got his fried chicken dinner, and I got the big breakfast that we like. We get back home, and just sat around in our recliners and chilled for a little bit.
Now comes the un-normal part. I have a baby shower to go to! It's gonna be a fun afternoon, and it's gonna last all afternoon, too. Bert, Teresa, and I should be able to hang out together all day and just talk and talk and talk - it's gonna be great! I get my gift, my drink, and my purse and take off.
I stop to pick Bert up, and off we go. Well, first off, when we get there, Teresa isn't there. She isn't feeling good today. Not her normal 'headachy' type of not-feel-good, but truly not feeling good. That's not good! Well, phooey! Bert and I just hang around with the rest of the Wilkerson family and have a great time at the get-together. Traci got a lot of nice stuff, as well as a LOT of stuff! She liked the Bengals stuff from me and Ron. While I had every intention not to eat much while there, I did eat a small plate of food. I had a spoonful of the chicken dish they make (it's like sloppy joe, but it's chicken, and it's wonderful!!), a spoonful of a granola/yogurt/fruit dish, 5 Fritos, and some grapes. I even resisted the cake - I was proud of myself over that one - but I did bring a piece home for Ron.
When the shower was over, Bert and I went over to see Teresa, but she still wasn't feeling well, so we didn't stay. We came on home, and I got here just before 6. Ron was watching some of his B movies that he had received for Christmas, and I changed my clothes and collapsed into my recliner and played on my tablet. After a while, Ron ate the wings that he had cooked for his supper and smelling them made me hungry, but he had only made 6 of them, so I had to look for something else. I couldn't find anything that looked right, so I was gonna not eat when Ron told me to eat the piece of cake I had brought home because he didn't want it - because it wasn't chocolate. Who is this man?! So, I ate that damn piece of cake. Then, I stayed there in my chair until around 9, when I moved over to the pute, so that I could put the pictures I took at the shower up.
I have no plans for tomorrow, because The White Death is supposed to move in tomorrow. There is a Winter Weather Warning up from 5am Monday until 5am Tuesday, with anywhere from 2" to 12" depending on where you live, and this time - the further SOUTH you live, the more snow you will get. A very strange storm.
B Movies? B MOVIES?!?!?! Santa Claus only brings Top Notch Films! lol
