HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!  MUCH LOVE TO ALL!

2/13
Once I got up, I decided that I would rather wait til tomorrow to go shopping - why waste the gasoline going down the road 2 days in a row? - and then I realized that I needed ham and potatoes to go in the green beans that I remembered to turn on today.  Well, crap.  I gotta get dressed now, anyway!
I figured that I could just go up to IGA and pick up what I absolutely needed, then get the rest tomorrow down at WalMart.  Since it was after 1, and I didn't realize it til I was already uptown, I went to Gold Star to get a bite of lunch.  I got myself one of those GoRitos that they have now - it's like a burrito, with chili and Frito's in it.  I get it without the chipotle sauce, the chili is enough for me!  So, lunch ended up being super cheap as well as good, and then I hit IGA.  I got some of the 5-for-$20.00 meat, of which I was hoping the ham would be part of, but it wasn't.  I also got the ham chunks, the potatoes (2 for $3.00!), and bread.  So I escaped from there without spending too very much.  Whew!
I get back home, and when 4:30 came, added the potatoes, ham, and onions to the beans so that they would be done around 6-6:30.  They were sure starting to smell good, too!

When I was in IGA, I got texts from Chelle about Corgan coming up today - it seems that he had hurt his finger in school today and she was a bit worried.  She finally decided to take him to either an Urgent Care or an ER, just to be on the safe side (we both thought a doctor (visit) would send him for an x-ray anyway) and she'd let us know any results...
The results?  Corgan has fractured his pinky finger!  Fractured!  Luckily, all they did was 'tape brace' it to the ring finger, tell Chelle to buy more tape, and send them on their way.  His finger was swollen and discolored, but it wasn't ugly, as some breaks are.

He decided that he wanted to come up for his spend-the-night, so Josh and Chelle dropped him off on their way out on their date night.  When he came in, he gave both Grandpa and I Valentine's Day gifts!  I was surprised, because his parents scorn Valentine's Day.  But he had a yellow rose for me, and a box of marshmallow eggs (yes, an Easter candy, but Ron LOVES them!) for Grandpa.  How sweet of him, and of them for letting him.  He also brought his Valentine's Day candy box from school, too, although he told me loud and clear that what was in it "wasn't for you." after I asked if there were any Reese's in there.
I know the day took a lot out of him, because he fell asleep while watching TV by 11:30!  I commandeered the TV and was watching game shows when he woke back up around 1:15, and he was not happy about it.  I tried to stay up longer than him - silly me, thinking he'd fall back asleep - but I finally turned the TV off and headed to bed at 2 after arguing with him about "it's time to go to bed and go to sleep."  I left Ron's Valentine's Day gift - a truck-shaped chocolate - out for him to find when he got up, and went toward the bedroom.  I did hear Corgan turn the TV back on (it makes a very distinct noise), but I was too tired to back out and argue with him again.  When Ron got up to go to work at 3:45, he was sound asleep.

2/14
Ron got home from work around 8:30-8:45.  I guess they held to their "only one box" word this time - that might be a first!  He may have only worked a few hours, but at this time of the year, those few hours help tremendously!
He came in to speak to me, to start me waking up so we could get our day going, and when I got up to do my Wii Fit, I found flowers and candy waiting for me on the table!  Awww, how sweet!
I did my Wii Fit (but wished that I hadn't), but found that I have gained almost 2 pounds - about 1.75 - and I just can't believe it!  I've done my exercises, I've eaten good round meals, and...and...THIS??  I am flabbergasted.  I stomp off to get dressed, and we head off to do our errands.

We get a couple of the errands done, and we go to Olive Garden to get some lunch, and they aren't even open yet!  Wow!  It's hard for me to believe that I got up and got things done so early on a Saturday, but evidently I did!  We decide to just sit in the car and wait for them to open instead of driving around in circles.  We wanted to use the gift certificates we won at the Quarter Auction instead of spending money - that was the whole idea of going to Olive Garden in the first place!  So, we waited, and then we went in and had a wonderful lunch.  Corgan and I both got the soup, salad, and breadsticks lunch, choosing the Chicken Gnocchi soup.  Ron got the Five Cheese Ziti Al Forno dish, and, once again, he's found a dish that he doesn't like.  Silly man - how can you not like pasta and cheese?
When we were done, we stopped at Kroger, where just Ron and Corgan ran in to pick up his tonic water.  Then it was on to WalMart, where we all went in, and I got my grocery shopping done.  Finally, it was time to go home.  Yay.

We got home, got things unloaded, and the house got quiet as Corgan left with Josh, Chelle, and Jean to go to the Half-Price Books.  While they were gone, as the afternoon waned, I got supper started.  I made meatloaf (heart-shaped, of course), buttered noodles, and mixed a can of corn, a can of mixed veggies, and the rest of the can of peas for our vegetable.  I also heated up what was left of the green beans, too.
Since the weather was so crappy, and we were all worried about their drive home, they didn't stay long after the meal was over.  Ron soon fell asleep in his chair, and here I am.  I did a few little piddly things that needed done for in the morning, but I hear my bed calling me, and it is calling louder and louder, too, and I'm thinking that I've got to go answer it!

Tomorrow I have a baby shower to go to!  It's gonna be so much fun!!   It's a Wilkerson family thing, and I'm picking Bert up on the way, so I'm really looking forward to it.  Fun, fun, fun!!  I can't wait to see the whole family again, and I can't wait to hang with Bert and Teresa all afternoon!
