Getting out and about a little

2/25
I woke up early today - around 8:30 - and why?  Because today is supposed to be a Bert, Teresa, and Rita Day!  I do my usual morning thing - reading and tableting - until just after 10, then I texted Teresa to see how she's feeling today and if this is gonna happen.  Unfortunately, she isn't feeling well and is watching her niece and her great-niece, as well, so she isn't able to go today.  Phooey!  Bert is still wanting to go - to get out of the house - so she and I will go, but not until 1.  So I piddle around the house, then hit the road.

I pick Bert up, then we decide to go over to Golden Corral.  That seems to be the best place to go for our money and time, so off we go.  We  spent the afternoon just sitting there, talking and enjoying the time out and visiting.  We finally left there about quarter til 5.  Not bad for just 2 of us, huh?
I didn't do too bad in the food department, either.  I had my usual 2 plates - 1 cold (salads) foods, 1 hot foods - but then went back up and got a big ol' baked potato, and around 4, went and got some dessert.  I can't resist their cotton candy!

I dropped Bert off after a stop at Kroger, where she did what she needed to do (pharmacy) and I got Ron some bananas.  Ron had eaten supper while I was gone (Ramen Noodles), and I sure wasn't hungry the rest of the night, anyway!  Criminal Minds wasn't on tonight, and I ended up going to bed early, although I didn't turn the light off any earlier than any other night.

I woke this morning around 10, and finally got up just after 12.  I played Happy Homemaker and got the dishes done, and piddled around doing other little things around here.  I did my standing exercises, but I felt as though my back was stiffening as the day went on.  Not sure if it was in my mind or what - but then when Ron got home, he said that the temps had dropped all day.  Now I know!  My mind eased, just knowing why.

I'd been seeing things on the pute all day about it being "National Chili Day" and that Gold Star had 3-ways on sale for $3.  I thought I'd ask Ron if he wanted to go have chili and he'd shoot that idea down - he never wants to go back out once he gets home - but after the weather was on the news and I asked him, he said "OK!" so we got dressed and went uptown for our supper.
He got a 3-way, while I got a GoRito and we shared a plate of chili cheese fries.  He wasn't impressed with the 3-way - we usually get 5-ways - and wanted something else.  He decided on one of the GoRitos, and since he was going to eat more, I got myself a second one, too.  Yep, we are pigs.  It's still cheaper for us to eat at Gold Star than ANY other place we go.

We got back home, he fell asleep watching TV, I watched TV and played on my tablet, and that was it for the night.  Yay.

No plans for tomorrow, even though it's Friday.  After Ron (and Corgan) gets home, we might go down the road and put gasoline in both vehicles on the way to a fish fry, but we may wait until Saturday morning to do it.  I'll do my shopping on the way home from whenever we do the gasoline thing.
