An ENTIRE week has gone by...

I can't believe a whole week has gone by - it doesn't seem possible!
But, that's what the calendar is telling me, so it must be true.  I apologize to you all, but you must be happy not hearing the mundane details of our day-to-day boring lives, as evidently not much has happened.

I can't imagine much happened on Wednesday and Thursday - we had had snow, remember, and we must have just had remaining snow, then everything melting and the resulting wetness.  Ron brought home the news that Rumpke wants the roll-off drivers to all be as close to 40 hours as possible now as they can - no overtime for anyone, because there's not enough work for everyone to get overtime.  So the yuckiness of winter hours, and winter paychecks, has started.  Ugh!!  So soon!

On Friday, we had Corgan.  I did claim the TV from him on Friday night, mean ol' granny that I am.  The NFL Network showed Super Bowl I in its entirety, and this is/was supposedly a miracle of modern technology because of "lost" (meaning erased or taped-over tapes, back in the day) tapes, films or broadcasts (take your pick) and I sure wanted to watch some REAL football for a change!  Not this crybaby look-for-a-flag-after-every-play stuff they do nowadays, that's for sure!  Corgan moaned and groaned, but I caught him sneaking peeks at the TV during the show...lol.
When it was over, I turned the TV back over to him like a good granny.

On Saturday, they came up to pick Corgan up and I made Johnny Marzetti for supper.  I haven't made that for quite a while, and it was pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.  We didn't all sit around the table and eat this time, though, because the football playoffs have started and there were games on today!  The first game had started before they got here and things were moving along.....they left when the first game was over, so Josh could get home in time to watch the second game.  Football is football, ya know.

Sunday was pretty much a normal Sunday.  Church, lunch, football.  After church, we went down to Bob Evans for our lunch since I had received a gift card for Christmas.  Then it was home for the rest of the playoff games.
The home teams won all four games this weekend, unlike last weekend when all the away teams won.  But that's to be expected in the playoffs - the home team winning, that is.  Next week will decide who goes to the Super Bowl.

Monday was cold, cold, cold - as in single digit cold, with a below zero wind chill!  I said little prayers all day for people like Ron who have to work outside in stuff like that.
It was usual, a Happy Homemaker Day for me.  Nothing new there.  Blah.

Today, Ron had taken a vacation day because he had the appointment to go see the surgeon about the mole ("skin lesion") on his left arm/elbow.  Because of the lowered hours and the time of the appointment, it was best this way.
We got up (way too early!) to get to his appointment at 9:15, and the surgeon was a very nice guy.  As we were talking, we mentioned about how Ron hates to miss work and he went to see if there was any way he could squish Ron into his schedule today so that Ron wouldn't have to miss any more work - I thought that was fantastic! - but, of course, it didn't work.
He wasn't sure about the "skin lesion." He said you can look at some and know right off that they are bad, and you can look at some and know that they are nothing to worry about, but this one fell right in the middle - because of the pigmentation and the shape and size - and he just couldn't tell by looking, so he felt that it was best to remove it, and I did, too!  So we figured out all the schedules, and we got the removal scheduled for next Thursday.
This will work out good, since Ron already has another doctor appointment Thursday afternoon, so he can take the whole day off and we'll get everything taken care of.

When we were done there, we had to run up to Milford so I could sign a paper at Dr. Ward's office, which took maybe two minutes, then we had breakfast at Crackhead Barrel.  We came home after that, where Ron got bitten by the cleaning bug and I sat in my recliner and stayed out of his way.
I went to my TOPS meeting tonight and was very glad to learn that I have lost 2.2 pounds over the last two weeks - there was no meeting last week - and I am doing such a happy dance!
Ron made pork chops, corn, and Ramen noodles for supper and we have NCIS, NCIS: NO, and dead guys on TV.

Happy day!
