Day 2 wasn't much of a day

Thursday, January 7, 2016

I didn't do much of anything today after I got up.

I did do the dishes that were sitting there, but that only took about 15 minutes.  I debated whether or not to do some exercises, which I probably should have, but I let myself talk myself out of it.  I am not eating enough calories to support any kind of an exercise program right now - I think I have my body in starvation mode (which is why I'm not losing any significant weight) and I have to get my eating back under control first.  I have put my myfitnesspal back up to 1500 calories per day, and that is hard to do after being at 1200 for so long.

That being said, I didn't eat any lunch today, but instead ate some (6 pieces) of chocolate from Christmas stockings - at this point, Ron and mine are combined - and put some chicken breasts in the crockpot for supper.
With the chicken breasts, I put in a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, a can each of chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and cream of potato soup.  At 6:00, I added half a can of peas.

I spent the rest of the day just piddling around the house, doing this and that.  Mostly putting away stuff from Christmas.  I did get all the trays and serving things put away, so that was a good thing.  I was going to start taking down my tree, but with getting out the crockpot and all, I decided to wait one more day on that.  I didn't want any ~accidents~ to either the crockpot or my ornaments, and you know anal/OCD me has to check every ornament against my list as it gets packed away.
But most of the gifts are gone off the table now, and things can proceed.

I took a break, as I do most days, to watch Chain Reaction between 3 and 4, and when that was over, I turned on the dead guy channel.  The show starting was one I hadn't seen, so I got involved watching it.  When Ron texted me, I told him that I wasn't walking - even though I should have! - and I just kept watching TV.  Bad Rita!
He got home, and started in moaning and groaning because he's catching a cold.  I had him 'drink' a spoonful of honey and cinnamon, then he collapsed into his recliner for a while, then went to take his shower before eating supper.

We dished the gravy (for lack of a better word) over a slice of bread, and put the chicken breasts right on top.  I then opened a can of chicken breast chunks to put in the gravy so it wouldn't go to waste and - voila! - we both had seconds!
We just watched game shows all evening, because dead guys started showing reruns.

When I put my food into MFP, I was way low on my calories, so I put in for a bowl of cereal as a snack, and that put me close to just 100 short for the day.  I'll take that.

I have running to do tomorrow, so I may get even closer to my goal.  Whee!
