Sunday......a day of rest, right...yeah, uh huh

Today, we went out to lunch after church, just like we always do on Sundays.  I chose to have a decent "dinner" as opposed to having a wrap or a salad or something good.  I figured I could be good for supper - we still had veggies left.  I enjoyed 2 slices of meat loaf (except it had carrots in it!), mashed potatoes, and green beans.  I did put butter on the potatoes instead of having gravy.  I also ate the dinner roll that came with it.  Oh, it was good!  Real food!  Wow!

When we came home from supper and walking last night, we measured (with the car odometer) a mile walk from our house.  Not that Ron feels like walking after a full day's work, but just in case, for some days.  So, today, after he worked outside a bit, fixing weedeaters and stuff - he couldn't mow because it rained, then we decided to walk.  It wasn't so bad, but the little bit we have to walk right on the highway is just a bit scary.  It's even more frightening on the way back, when our backs are to the traffic.  I learned that I can walk pretty fast along that little stretch of highway!  LOL

Then, as I was cooking Ron some fried green tomatoes (yes, Ron.  I am NOT eating those!), I started a sugar low.  Yep, checked my sugar - 49.  Wow.  I ate 6 jelly beans, and went ahead and made my salad, with the leftover veggies, the ham and turkey squares and bacon bits that were left, a generous handful of cheese, and a generous dollop of dressing.  I even put the dressing right on the salad, instead of doing the dunk-the-fork trick. Actually, it was the same amount of dressing - I just usually leave some in the rammekin, and this time, I scraped it out onto the salad, so I ate the full amount, not just some of it.  Ron enjoyed his fried green tomatoes, and I felt much better after my meal. I also did NOT take my diabetes pill (the ones that reduce sugar).  Didn't quite think that was necessary tonight.

Putting in my food and exercise on myfitnesspal, I am under on my calorie count - on all my numbers today!  Yay, me!!   I am trying to come with some kind of a plan to get me more exercise, though, and am just coming up BLANK.  I can think of things to do, but no way to work them/it in.  I really detest that damn evil E word.

I am very satisfied with today.
