Today is finally the end of this busy, busy week. It is a very bittersweet day.
I started the day going to the funeral of my schoolmate. I wasn't close friends with Tina, but, you know, she was in my class, which means she was my age, and even though I'm getting there, I don't quite want to think that way yet. I know that I am ready, but...
After the funeral, and dropping off a dish (nice healthy Spinach Balls) for the family get-together, I went to my own lunch. Since I was all the way down Beechmont - the burial was in Mt. Moriah, the get-together in Cherry Grove at the bowling alley - I decided to go to Olive Garden. I chose the Seafood Mezzaluna as my entree, and enjoyed the salad and breadsticks, too. Of course, I had to pick out the croutons, olives, and hot peppers. LOL It was a very good meal!
I stopped, oh, 6 million times, on the way home, doing all the errands that needed done. No, I did NOT go to WalMart. WE will probably do that tomorrow. I did stop and get my hair cut - it's been over two months, and my bangs were touching my eyebrows again. So, I considered between all the walking in and out of places, and all through each place and all, that I walked well over a mile total. I sure felt like it, anyway! My upper legs were telling me a story - like 'like a rest, will ya?' and I was so glad to get home and be done running! Then I had to lug everything into the house. Ugh.
I had only been home not quite an hour when Ron got home with Corgan. Yay, now the weekend has started! Corgan announces right off that he thinks we should stay home for supper, but he's not hungry yet. Then he hands me his school fundraiser book. Kids...
Half an hour later, Corgan is hungry now, so he and Ron go in the kitchen and find some supper. He puts in The Green Hornet (again!!) and we have our entertainment. Around 8:30, I am finally hungry enough to go find me some supper. I finally decide on a can of chicken noodle soup, since I knew I had used most of my calories for lunch. And - guess what - I stayed under my calories for the day!! Yay!! Way, way over on the fats and the sodium, but, hey.
Today gets five stars for food, and three for exercise.
