A morning out with my sister!

I woke up this morning at 7:30.  Seven-thirty!  Why in the world I woke this early, I have no idea, but I did, and there I was, tableting.  I was 'talking' to my sister, and one thing she had mentioned/posted was that a thrift store was having a 40% off sale today only.  I asked her if she wanted to go, and after a little while (we were both playing games and other things), she said that yes, she would like to go up there.  So, I got up, got ready, including making myself tea, and hit the road.  I had put together a bag of books to give to her, too.
I was over on Jones-Florer Road when I realized that I had left my cup of tea sitting at home.  Sigh.  I guess I'll just have to buy myself a tea, because I'm not turning around, not for a drink!  I get up there to pick Ruth up and on we go.  I stop for my tea and gasoline, and gasoline has gone up again!  I was surprised to see this - I didn't think it would go up again until Memorial Day weekend.  Guess I was wrong.  OR they raised it now, so when they raise it Memorial Day, it's gonna be over three bucks.  Blah!

We finally get up to Seaman and go to the thrift store, but I couldn't find any capris, as I had hoped.  I did get myself three shirts - two 'good' and one Bengals T-Shirt - and Ruth got some stuff.  With the discount, it was easier for just one of us to pay, so Ruth paid here and then I bought us some lunch over at Cruiser's Diner.  She had chili and blackberry cobbler, and I had a chef salad.  We had quite an enjoyable time, just talking and enjoying it being just the two of us.
I took her home, then came on home and got here a little after 2.  Since I had my little task at 3:30, I just lounged in my recliner until time to go.  I should have done the dishes, but they're not going anywhere.  I'll get them later.  Sometime.

After getting back home from my task, it wasn't long until I got the text from Ron, so I got my gym shoes and walked out to meet him.  I made it past the real half-mile mark, but not to our half-mile marker, too, so I was kinda proud of myself.
We got back home and discussed what to do tomorrow for our anniversary.  Nothing much, we decided, since we have "anniversary plans" for the weekend.  I'm thinking that I may make him a pork chop meal for supper, since he really likes that.  Fried chicken is his favorite, but he doesn't want to go anywhere, and I'm not spending time frying chicken.  That's a bit much in the heat we've been having (yeah, I'm a wuss).  Maybe we'll just go up and get a banana split, and split it!  Ha!

We made our big salads for supper, and watched Starsky and Hutch while eating.  Neither of us liked either of the episodes we saw tonight.  We are getting to the end of Season Two.  Anyone have any idea where we can get more seasons?
At 9:00, I went to turn on Criminal Minds and it wasn't on!  What!!  That's not right!  So, it was dead guys and I came over and got on the pute.  I'm thinking that I might go to bed early tonight, anyway.

I do have errands to run tomorrow, but I won't go until after I talk to Ron.  I may be able to get his check like I did last week, although probably not if we "plan" on it.  We shall see.
