A relaxing Friday

Friday, October 4, 2013

Today was a kind of strange day.  Although it was a bit stressful at first - I started out the day paying bills, which is NOT fun at this point - knowing what was ahead made it so much nicer, if not easier.  I had F U N plans for most of today!

After getting this bit of 'business' out of the way, I went and got some errands out of the way, stopped at Wendy's up in Bethel and got me a double cheeseburger (tomato & onions only) and a chili for my lunch, then went up to work at the rummage & bake sale until it closed at 4.  Jean and Chelle brought Corgan (and his friend Justin, who is spending the night with him) up to me after school let out.  So the boys played while we got the rummage sale closed down, then we walked up to my friend's house to go to her "Chili Feast" and watch the Homecoming Parade.  I had brought our drinks (water, of course) for the night in the little carry-cooler and off we went.  It only took us 15 minutes or so to walk up to her house, and we just kinda stayed out of their way as they got all the last-minute stuff done.  Other people started showing up, and the boys finally had other kids to play with, and the night turned into a wonderful time.  Good food, good friends, good times!!

I put 2 hot dogs on a plate and cut them into pieces, then put chili all over them, sprinkled some onions in/on it, then cheese over it all.  That was my supper.  A little later, someone brought me a piece of apple pie, and somewhere along in there I had a jello shot and I tried (about an inch in a cup) a bit of sangria.  It was such a relaxing evening!

Food today gets five stars - I'm not sure about the calorie count, since it was homemade chili, but it sure was good!
Exercise is gonna get three stars - I did walk a bit doing errands, then walked to Vickie's from the church, probably 1/2 to 3/4 mile, as well as all the mingling and socializing, although I tried to stay sitting at a table.  You know you can't always.  LOL
