This was supposed to be a quiet, calm weekend at home. I did all my running on Friday, so that we could stay at home on Saturday and enjoy the day and each other. It was Sweetest Day, after all. Uh-huh. You know what they say about plans, right? Yep, it happened. The you-know-what hit the fan. Luckily, not here, but we ended up doing some running because someone else couldn't, because of that darn fan, which is okay - it could have been a whole lot worse. And at this time, this week, we certainly don't need that. I won't go into detail, since it's not my story, I will just say I am sooooo glad it was not any worse than it was if it had to happen, and I am glad we were in a position to help.
I weighed myself for my first week of this go-round of the biggest loser contest, and I had lost a little over a pound, according to my Wii. Yay! I hope that stays true for Tuesday night at TOPS!
We got the running done that had to be done, in the time frame imposed upon the family by the funeral home, and then enjoyed a lunch at Wendy's in Amelia. It was funny - Corgan spent the whole time comparing Wendy's to McD's. And he is not very subtle, you know. I had a double sandwich with tomato and onions on it, along with fries. (It was around 3 pm by the time we could stop for lunch!) Since we were in Amelia, we did a bit of shopping at WalMart - no WalMart walk, since Ron and Corgan were with me - and got the few things I hadn't picked up on Friday. DayQuil, for one...lifesaving stuff when you need it! Still kinda can't believe I forgot it! Then back home to get ready to be swarmed upon. Well, just the other O'Tooles and Jeanie, but still...
We made pork chops with ShakeNBake, RiceARoni (mushroom), frozen mixed veggies, and peas for supper. I also got what was left of a jar of applesauce out of the fridge. I made up a little dish of both dill and bread & butter pickle slices, too. It was a nice little meal, if I do say so myself.
Today was a pretty normal Sunday. Church, lunch, football. Normal. I will take normal!
We went to Country Inn in Georgetown after church for breakfast. Ron and I are both really starting to like that big breakfast they have. It is a lot of calories, and I add more by putting butter on my potatoes, but damn is it good. And since I barely get home in time for kickoff (1pm), or even am five to ten minutes late, and don't eat again until suppertime, I think I can live with that.
MY Bengals won again today - they let the Lions make it into a nail-biter and won it in the last 4 seconds with a field goal. Someone needs to talk to the defense! Tighten up, dudes! Same score as last week, too. 27-24. How cool is that?
During the late afternoon games, I got on the pute, and my sisters and I got our comments and stuff all together for tomorrow. I still have to type my paper up, so I have a good copy to read from, because I sure don't want to try to read my scribbling - and I'm pretty sure I will be fighting tears, too.
For supper, I zapped me some leftover chili from out of the fridge, and that was that. I am still watching the night game. I was going to go to bed at HT, but instead of the blowout I expected, it is a very good game, and all this pute stuff is taking way too long because I am watching the game too much. LOL
Today is only getting four stars for food. I was over on calories for myfitnesspal, but not for TOPS, and, of course for Sunday, exercise gets zero. I am hoping to get on that exercise bike during the week! My breathing is much better than it was, let me tell you! I only had to suck on about 10 cough drops today. Yipes - I never thought. I probably should have been putting them on myfitnesspal. I'm sure they have calories. Oh, my. Bad, bad Rita.
