12/7
Typical Sunday. Church, lunch, football.
After church, we went up to Georgetown for our lunch. We both had the big breakfast that we like, and we even managed to get home in time for kickoff! Wow! The Bengals game was good until the fourth quarter, and then they quit playing for some reason. So, sad to say, they ended up losing. Getting tromped, as a matter of fact. But - it is what it is, and there is always next week.
I reheated the rest of the Johnny Marzetti for our supper, and we ate around 6:30. Johnny Marzetti tastes just as good the second day!
I went to bed at halftime during the night game, as I usually do, and my nice relaxing day is over.
Tomorrow it's back to Happy Homemaker....such fun. NOT.
12/8
I woke this morning around 8:30, and didn't get up until going on noon, as usual. I wasn't looking forward to playing Happy Homemaker, so kept putting it off. I did, however, finally get up and get started on all this housework. I got a load of towels going, and then started in on the dishes. Ugh. There were so many of them - what the heck did we do over the weekend? I worked on our Christmas cards instead of playing on the pute during the soaking times.
Around 1, I remembered that I needed to go down and pick up Ron's other prescription, so I finished up where I was in the dishes and drained the water. I got myself dressed, then turned the dryer back on the full time, and took off to get this errand done.
I got Ron's prescription, then went to Bob Evans for a bite of lunch - I got the country fried steak meal, but I brought the soup home for Ron to have for supper - and then I went to WalMart to pick up boxes to pack, wrap, and send out a package. Too bad I was too dumb to remember this on Saturday! But it's done now, and that's a good thing.
I got back home, got the box(es) packed, wrapped, and packed, all ready to mail out on Thursday. I did a load of regular clothes, since the towels were dry now, and I ran another sinkful of dishwater to work on more of the dishes. I actually got them ALL done, too! I felt rather proud of myself for that - I didn't think it was gonna be possible, not all in one day! I worked on our Christmas cards some more during the soaking times, and I do believe that I've passed the halfway point. Whew! I am hoping to get them in the mail if not tomorrow, then on Wednesday. My mail runs so late, I'm hoping tomorrow, but we'll see.
Ron didn't get home until almost 6:30, so he didn't get to go to church with me. Mass started at 7, so I only got to talk to him for a few minutes before I had to leave. Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception - celebrating when Mary was conceived to be 'full of grace' and, ultimately, the Mother of Jesus.
When I got home, he had eaten his supper (the soup I had brought home and had left warming on the stove for him), but I wasn't hungry yet. He finished watching whatever he was watching, then I turned on football.
I finally made myself some supper around quarter til 10. I made a package of Ramen Noodles, shrimp flavor, and I added chia seeds, sunflower seeds, and celery seeds to the bowl I mixed it all up in. I also added some butter to moisten it up a little. It was tasty!
Tomorrow will be putting laundry away - I'm out of baskets - and finishing up (hopefully) our Christmas cards. Then, Josh will stop and pick me up and it's off to Corgan's Christmas Concert! That's always a lot of fun! Ron will go straight from work, and then we'll come home together. I love this time of year!
