Yup. Busy day, getting ready for the season...

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

Boy, was today a long, busy day.  It started when I woke around 9:30.  That part was still relaxing, since I read and played on the tablet for a bit.  I had to get up, though, and be down at Kroger by 11:30 to meet Pam to pick up all the 31 stuff.  Get up, get dressed, and get driving!!  Ai yi yi!  Nothing to it!
After I had met Pam and I got that taken care of, I went to Bob Evans for a bite of lunch.  I had the $10. country fried steak meal with a potato soup starter and I brought my dessert (a cookie) home.  I did have to stop at IGA for the ingredients for the dishes I am making for the Altar Society Christmas Dinner tomorrow night.

When I got home, though, that's when the fun started.  First of all, I put a pan of beans on for us to have for supper tonight, then I started about ten different projects.  Wrapping gifts, making dishes, etc., etc., etc. all afternoon long.  I even got to do my exercises today, and, man, did it feel good to do them!  At 5, I stopped to get my sweats and gym shoes on, ready for when Ron texted that he was on the way home.  He finally texted at quarter after 5, so that was pretty good timing.  I threw my shirt and coat on and took off walking, but I didn't quite make it to the curves on Hoover Road - he didn't text me til he was on 774, the silly man.  It was a good walk, though.  I sure have to get back in the hang of it!

When we got back home, I took a shower and got  ready to go to my TOPS meeting.  To my dismay, but not to my surprise, I gained half a pound this week - .6 to be exact - and I'm glad that's all it was.  We are going to have our Christmas party next week, and that should be fun.

I got back home, and Ron and I enjoyed the beans (yeah, right) and butter bread while watching NCIS.  Unfortunately, it was a rerun, and then when NCIS:NO was a rerun, too, we put Quantum Leap in.

Nothing planned for tomorrow but more of what was done today.  The Altar Society Christmas Dinner is tomorrow night, so I do have to have some things done by then, so that will take some of the pressure off.
My sister is spending tomorrow night, too, because the day after she is getting a procedure done down at Anderson Mercy early in the morning and I am taking her.  We'll have a good visit!
