Christmas Eve
I got up, finished up the last of my baking for our snack table, and had most of the car packed before Ron got home from work, which was a LOT earlier than either of us thought it would be. He actually made it home around 11am, which was a small miracle in and of itself.
Since he got home so early, we went uptown to cash his paycheck and to go to Frisch's for a bite of lunch, since we knew Dinner (supper) wasn't until 7 tonight. We both got the pork tenderloin sandwich with fries, although I got a cup of veggie soup and he got the broccoli soup. It was a good lunch, and we enjoyed the "quiet time" before the craziness of the rest of the day.
We got back home, got the rest of everything either made or baked (while Ron chilled in the living room, although he claims he didn't nap), and got the car all packed. We took off for Josh's between 4 and 4:30 - closer to 4:30 - getting us down there not long after 5, after a stop for a bag of ice.
We get the car unloaded, everything carried in and put where it needs to go - snacks on the snack table, stocking stuff in a corner, bedroom stuff (quilts and pillows) in the bedroom, etc. - and we are ready for everything to start. We just have to wait for Josh to get home from work, and he is stopping on the way to pick Bert up, so as soon as they get here, we are all ready.
Let the festivities begin!!
Munchies from the snack table, Christmas Dinner at 7pm, dessert about an hour after Dinner was over, fun and games in the living room for the rest of the evening.
After we made sure Corgan was asleep, Santa did his thing, and Bert and I sat and talked for awhile, so it was probably between 2 and 2:30 before I fell asleep.

Christmas Day
As usual, I was the first one up! I am worse than a little kid! I woke up and went to the bathroom, squinting at the clock at the microwave as I went through the kitchen. It was 6:20!!
I went to the staircase, flipped the lights off and on a few times (okay, a lot of times) because I could not climb the steps to wake Corgan up this year. After about ten minutes, Corgan (and Jean) came downstairs. I like to think my flashing the lights woke them up! We'll never know for sure.
Then we had our 'normal' family Christmas, which takes up most of the day.
Opening gifts from Santa, taking turns, with breaks every now and then, with one big stop to get lunch - which is leftovers - and then opening our gifts from each other.
This outpouring of love for each other is something to see, let me tell you. The gifts all take up a good quarter of the room!
Ron, Bert, and I left to come home around 5. My back was absolutely killing me - I just sat too long. It was on a nice soft couch (love seat), but I just didn't move enough. I certainly didn't want to move, and I certainly enjoyed myself, but once I did move, it just wasn't enough. When I got home, I stretched out on the bed, reading and playing on the tablet while Ron took Bert on home. I even fell asleep and got a little nap in! When he got back, he helped me get things unloaded and emptied, then it was an early night for us.

Day after Christmas/Boxing Day
I guess this is called Boxing Day, because this is the day you empty all the boxes from Christmas! That's what I'm going with, anyway! That's certainly what I did today, anyway. I got all our gifts under our tree (yes, all across our table), took pictures, and I sorted out our 'stocking' candy and fruit, and all that kind of fun stuff. Unfortunately, I also did some dishes and some Happy Homemaker stuff, too, which is always soooo thrilling for me. (yes, that is in sarcastic font...)
Ron got home kinda early today, too, which was nice to start the weekend. He was home around 3, and since Corgan decided to stay home and play with his new Christmas stuff, it's just me and him for the weekend - whatever shall we do?
We spent the evening watching Quantum Leap. Beats the hell outta Corgan's Most Stupid things! Ron kept starting the next episode, but I know he missed most of them. I could hear him over there snoring. So, next time we watch, we'll watch these again. He's so funny!
He's now "watching" his news and weather....hahahahahahhaahahahaha.....I think this day is over.
Tomorrow, I'll have to see if I can drag him out somewhere, maybe go see a movie!, since it's just the two of us. We shall see. We shall see.
