A typical Sunday

Sunday, January 18, 2015

We woke to the alarm this morning and got up to get ready for church.  It was a little rough, but we did it - I was glad that I had set the alarms on both the head of the bed and on my cell phone!  We needed it!
Since I had forgotten to do my weigh-in yesterday, I did it this morning.  I have lost 2 pounds!  Yay, me!  I was glad to see that.

After church, we went down to Amelia, where we had time to go to WalMart so Ron could buy the wings for our Super Bowl party before Campbell's Barn opened (they don't open until noon), and then we enjoyed our lunch there.  Ron had his fried chicken with double mashed potatoes (no gravy), and I had the grilled chicken wrap with french fries.  Ron was disappointed with himself because he could only eat one piece of the chicken and the potatoes, but I told him he should be very glad that he could eat that!  He brought the rest home, supposedly for supper, but I doubt it will last that long - he'll pick at it all day.

We got home in plenty of time for football, since it didn't start until 3 today.  And that was the rest of the day.  We now know who is going to the Super Bowl in 2 weeks - the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
I made myself scrambled eggs for my supper during the second game, and I ate some potato chips with them, and that was my big supper.  Ron, as suspected, munched on chicken all day, although he did make himself scrambled eggs after I did.  He said mine just looked too good!

Tomorrow, instead of playing Happy Homemaker right off the bat, I am going to go out on the road to try to solicit donations for the church's Quarter Auction coming up at the end of the month.  I should have done this last week, but between Ruth's accident and getting ill, last week was a bust, so this week, I have to bust my ass to get it done!
I'll play Happy Homemaker later.  The housework will always be there!
