Back to Happy Homemaker...

Monday, January 26, 2015

I woke this morning around 10:30, and let myself lay around dozing and relaxing until almost 11 before getting up and turning on my tablet to catch up on anything I may have have missed up til now - not that I ever do, I have a cell phone for that!  But I gotta tell myself something...

I finally got up a little after noon, and got busy playing Happy Homemaker.  Laundry and dishes, as always on a Monday, along with other little piddly little jobs to start getting the house ready for Sunday night.  Dusting is always wonderful fun, don't you think?  NOT!
I also managed to do my exercises, which I haven't done for over a week - although getting in and out of my car was exercise enough over the last week - and, man, did my back tell me about it!  I didn't eat a real lunch, either, but I had made a pan of brownies last night and I finished those off for my lunch.  I know - real nutritious - but I had to get rid of them, didn't I?  At least I didn't compound the problem by having something with them - that was my logic, anyway.

I told myself that at 4, I would go get dressed and be ready when Ron texted.  Plan failure!  He texted at 5 til...sigh.  I had to rush like crazy and get out the door!  I did pretty good, though, and I got all the way to the curves before meeting him - I was pretty proud of myself!
When we got home, I discovered that Ron had brought home a can of Manwich, so guess what he wanted for supper?  I indulged him.  It was actually pretty good, and we ate early enough that it didn't bother our stomachs.

He fell asleep while "watching" one of his movies, and I let it play to the end, but then I turned on the dead guy shows.  And here I am.

Ron and I have doctor appointments tomorrow - not until 3:30 and 3:45, so I'm gonna be hungry and ready for some lunch and/or an early supper when we get outta there!  Fasting for a sugar check before going, especially when going that late, sure is hard.  I much prefer my morning appointments, but Ron can't work those in.  Ah.....life.
