A beautiful, relaxing Saturday!

Saturday, April 5, 2014

I woke up this morning just before 11.  Ron, of course, was already up, and was 'practicing' his golf on the Wii.  When he finished the set he was on, I did my weigh-in for the week, and I have lost about a pound and a half.  Great!  Imagine what I could do if I would ever get off my lazy ass and actually start doing some real exercise?  I could probably really break that 50-pound mark in no time at all, couldn't I?  Hmmmmm.

After I did my weigh-in, we both played golf until time for us to leave for our movie date.  We had decided to see the movie 'Noah,' and we needed time to get Ron's popcorn before we went in.  We drove through Arby's and got me fish sandwiches (one for lunch, one for supper) to eat for today, and went on down to Amelia and the cinema.  As much money as they make, you'd think they would take much better care of their parking lot.  You couldn't see a single solitary line to use as a guide to park by.  Sorry state of things, if you ask me, for a busy business like that.  But I made a parking place - out in the boonies - and we went in.
Boy, did that place change!  Now you buy your popcorn and drinks - candy, too, if you want it - right along with your ticket, and you get all your stuff yourself over where you used to buy it separately.  It's a pretty neat set-up, and seems to move things along pretty quickly.

We missed seeing me up on the big screen (now that Great Scott has closed), but that was neither here nor there.  They only showed TWO previews, too - imagine that!  The movie was good, too, though it certainly made you wonder about how things really were back then.  As most movies seem to do, it raised more questions than it answered, and that bugs the living piss out of me!

We came home, played more mini-golf.  We are getting the hang of the 'hard' games and are feeling good about our chances of beating Corgan next weekend!  LOL
We finally got tired of playing golf, and went to find supper.  I zapped my fish sandwich (well, I only zapped the fish part, and put it back in the bun & wrapped it back in the paper to warm it all up together) and Ron made himself something with a salad on the side.  Then we just watched TV for the rest of night.  Wanna guess what we watched?  You'd be wrong - he turned on those silly-ass Pawn Stars.  I was on the pute, so it didn't really matter to me, but -- geez.

When I started to put my food into MFP, I went ahead and made myself a snack - popcorn and milk - and entered all my food, as it were, and I ended up only 175 calories short for the day, which is okay with me for today.

It was a good day, one that doesn't come along very often.  These kinds of days are to be treasured.
