Headache, Headache, Headache. Ugh.

Saturday, April 26, 2014

I did not feel very well today at all.  I didn't sleep well last night, waking around midnight or so with severe stomach cramps and diarrhea, and making probably three or four runs for the bathroom in about an hour's time, and then, after that, was too afraid to drop off into a deep sleep and had weird carry-on dreams.  If that's not a sign that I ate way too much (like I didn't already know...), I don't know what was!  It was awful.
I heard/felt Ron get up, but couldn't make myself talk to him.  I usually don't, not on a Saturday morning, so he didn't notice anything unusual.
When I finally woke up enough to feel awake, it was 10:30, and oh, did I have a pounding headache.  Pound, pound, pound, thud, thud, thud on every heartbeat.  My head felt as though it was truly throbbing and would possibly explode.  After about an hour or so, the fellers left to go fishing and I did my weigh-in, as I do on Saturday mornings.  Corgan had been playing MegaMan on the Wii up til then, and I just let him (at least he wasn't watching his Most Stupid shows...), and I got on the pute.  After having constant headaches since I was a teenager, I can function very well with a headache.  Most people don't even realize when I have a headache any worse than normal.

I had been kinda dreading this week's weigh-in, what with Easter and all the candy.  But I thought that I had tempered it with some exercise, so I didn't quite know what to expect.  I was pleased to see that I had lost a little bit!  Not quite a pound, but it was a loss according to the Wii!  I will take it!  I am now a pound closer - and only a pound away from - my fifty-pound loss!!  ONE POUND!!  Oh, that would be a terrific way to start our anniversary month of May, wouldn't it?  I'll have to get off my lazy ass and exercise, exercise, exercise this next week like crazy, I think.  I do want to hit that number sooooooo bad!

Chelle texted and asked about us bringing Corgan home, and having supper down there, tonight, and I said that sounded good.  She said she'd make a meat loaf - and mashed potatoes (yes, my daughter-in-law is a smart ass!), as well as a big salad.  We were to stop and get some ice cream, because she also made some apples (with cinnamon, sugar, and butter) for our dessert, too.

After they left, I went to take a hot shower to help relieve this headache a little, and it did help.  I then went outside to sit, but the sun was too hot and I couldn't read or play my DS while sitting or laying on my swing, because of the sun.  I did sit in the chairs in my little arbor, switching back and forth between the two chairs (again, because of the sun), and reading - still not able to see the DS - and I sat outside for about half an hour.  The headache was down to a dull roar, and I was glad for that.  I can certainly handle those kind of headaches much better than the thumping ones.  While I was sitting out there, a 'motorcycle gang' went by - it must have been some kind of a Run, it was forty or fifty bikes and it was something to see (and hear!) and the bikes were nice and shiny and you could hear radios every now and then, and oh, it was a glorious sight!
The fellers got back from fishing - only one fish had been caught, but Corgan had had boatloads of fun chasing frogs and looking for turtles - and they played around out in the garage until time to get ready to go.

We went on down to Josh's and enjoyed our evening.  Ron and I weighed ourselves on Josh's Wii since we were there, and Easter has passed.  Remember, between all of us, I had lost the most at Christmas?  Since it's been 4 more months, I was curious as to what Josh's Wii would say about our weight now.  Well, according to his Wii, I have lost another 11.1 pounds, and Ron lost another 1.1 pounds.  Not too shabby, huh?  They said that they had all weighed themselves this morning, but they never did tell us how much they had lost since Christmas.  Hmmmm.  I might have to bug them about that.  Yep, I just might.  Hahahahha.
After supper, Josh, Jean, and I played Jeopardy! and I kicked Josh's ass!  Yay!!  Then we played a second game and Jean kicked his ass!  WhooHoo!  Of course, then we played Trivial Pursuit and he kicked our asses - well, Jean had all her wedges, but I sucked, I only had 4 wedges - but isn't that the way it goes?

We came home a little after 10, and I got on the pute to put in my food for the day.  I have a month-long streak (33 days in a row, I think, that I've signed in) going on MFP, and didn't want to mess it up!  Putting everything in, I was over 200 calories short for the day, but I forgot about the apples and ice cream, so I'll have to go back and fix that.  I'm sure I'll be very close to the correct number.  Boo.  Oh, well.  Can't change what I really ate, can I, even if I did forget it honestly and want to keep forgetting it now that I've remembered it?  But what kind of person am I if I would cheat myself?  I might as well start cheating at solitaire!

Nothing much planned for tomorrow.  Maybe Ron and I can get a walk or a bike (bicycle) ride in.  That would be a good thing for both of us, and better for us than sitting on our butts watching TV.  We'll have to see what the weather will be before making any decisions, though.  That will certainly be a deciding factor.
