Back to normal. Always a bit of a letdown, don't you think?

Monday, April 21, 2014

Today was the usual the-holiday-is-over, and now go back to 'normal' type of day.  Yeah, I know - define normal.  How about - back to your usual weekday?
As I do on Mondays, I woke up, read a bit, then did played Happy Homemaker when I did get up.  I didn't do any laundry, since I had it so totally caught up, but I did plenty of dishes and other piddling around here in the house.

I played on the pute, too, as always, and put together my Easter pictures.  I had stolen some from Chelle and it's always quite a chore to name, or describe, them all and keep them in order as you do so.  I only had 79 pictures when I was done, but I declare Easter a success anyway!  LOL
I was so busy doing that, I didn't even think about eating lunch until after 3!  Then I just ate a chicken salad so I could tell Ron I ate lunch.  I did munch on a piece of Easter candy here and there, but not much, because I'm saving it for munching on in the evening.

I also managed to get outside and plant my seeds in the long flower box over by the phone pole in the yard.  I had bought the topsoil last weekend, but the snow expected put a stop to doing the job then.  I really couldn't fit it in over this weekend, so I got the job done today.  It's supposed to rain tonight, so that should give them a good watering for me.

Ron didn't get home until 6:30.  He had been sent back out to pick up a dumpster at an apartment complex at 4:30 and lo & behold - the dumpster was blocked, so he had to dead-run it (go back without picking it up).  I can't understand why they don't understand that drivers want to go home in the afternoons, too!  Why go out again after 3 or 3:30???  Doesn't make much sense to me, especially when the dump (landfill) closes at 5 and they can't do anything with the load anyway when they come back in, and then are expected to go dump that load/dumpster at 5am before going back out.  Just how safe can it be to go up on the dump at 5am?  They preach safety, safety, safety but they sure don't follow 'common sense' safety!

Ron zapped the meal I brought him from OG for his supper, and I made me a ham sandwich for mine.  I only used one slice of bread, and added a slice of Colby Jack cheese.  While watching TV, I scavenged through my bowl of Easter candy and had my dessert.  Nowhere near as much candy as I had yesterday - probably not even a quarter of it.  Yesterday was bad.

I took a good healthy rough estimate of what I had eaten when I went to MFP, and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased to be 300+ calories short for the day!  Of course, most of it was candy, so it was empty calories, but luckily, it wasn't so very many calories.  (And they tasted so very yummy as I ate them!)

I have some errands to do tomorrow, so I will be able to actually work in some exercise.  I probably could have today, but didn't have the inclination.  But - tomorrow is another day!  Plus, I have to weigh in tomorrow night...
