First of all, let me apologize to you all. I told you a fib, ending my blog yesterday - I don't get to rest, not totally anyway, on Saturday - I have a baby shower to go to! It's on the west side of town, though, and that's going to be quite an adventure driving over there, especially now, unless I can carpool but that doesn't seem to be coming together, so...
When I woke up this morning, I read a bit, then got up and started in playing Happy Homemaker. Oh, what a job that was today. I just went on and on and on, getting stuff done. It was after 2 when I finally made myself some lunch and got on the pute.
When Ron called me while he was on his lunch, he informed me that his truck decided to play its silly little games again this morning. The stalling-out and cutting-out and lights coming on all over the dash, all that kind of crap? Yep, isn't that great? Our only vehicle this week - Ron can't ride the motorcycle because it's supposed to snow tomorrow! - and this happens. Oh, well. We shouldn't be surprised, should we? It's just another obstacle in our path right now, and with the grace of God, we shall survive (and overcome)!!
As the afternoon went on, I started feeling a bit tired. I have learned that sometimes that means a sugar low, so I got into my hidden stash of my favorite marshmallow eggs for a snack. I like the ones that they call 'bunny basket eggs' nowadays, with the candy shell around them. They are so hard to find, and I bought extra when I found them and put them away. I could only have three, though, that's a serving, and that's 140 calories!
I got into my recliner and played on the Wii. I played Wheel of Fortune and beat the living tar out of those computer people! I played five different games, and believe it or not, actually started to doze off during the last game and ended up losing that one (by 300 lousy points, or dollars). Josh stopped in for a minute or two during that game to leave the part for his car, and to get something out of his car, and that helped to wake me up, but I couldn't recover enough. Ah, well, I guess you can't win them all.
Ron didn't get home until almost 7:30, and he didn't get his truck to run. One of the mechanics from work had to bring him home, since everyone else had already left (imagine that!). He called and got a ride arranged for the morning. What a pain in the ass this is! He did bring home the codes that the mechanic said was what was wrong, and we looked them up on the pute, and it seems as though the Throttle Position Sensor has finally completely gone out. Apparently, it can short a time or two, then finally go all the way out, and that is what has happened now. Phooey. Hopefully, this mechanic can help Ron fix this, if not...
I fixed him Bean with Bacon soup for his supper and Chicken Noodle soup for me.
I watched Bones and he fell asleep, then I got back on the pute. I was planning on going to bed early, but that hasn't worked out (it's after 11:30 already), so I will just have to set the alarm when I do go to bed.
Putting my food on MFP, I ended up way short on my calories, so I ate another serving of my marshmallow eggs, and put in for a popcorn & milk snack, too. So, in the end, I was just over 400 calories short for the day. I can deal with that number - I've seen it before.
I am spending the day with Bert and Teresa tomorrow. I'm pretty sure my diet will be shot to hell, and I'm pretty sure I won't care one little bit.
