Today, I woke up and just about bounded out of bed. I'm going shopping! I've been looking forward to this ever since we set it up, and it's here! Hurray! I didn't have to rush up there or anything, and I woke up when I usually do, and I made a couple of phone calls before I left (getting some business out of the way!) and I was feeling pretty good. Of course, I knew it was raining, but I didn't let that bother me - I could take my time. And I did. I was planning on eating something before I left the house, but I just couldn't do it. My stomach rebelled at the thought even as I was looking, so I went without eating.
I got up to Winchester, picked Ruth up, and we were off. We went up to West Union to go to both WalMart and SaveALot, and we got our shopping done, as well as a little extra thrown in for Easter. I spent a little more than I usually do, but I suppose it'll work out okay in the long run. Ron and I are both ready to start eating salads again for our suppers, and those veggies do not come cheap.
I got Ruth and her groceries back before the rain really poured down, but drove most of the way home in pouring down rain. I also hit (ran into, WHATever....lol) tons of school buses on the way, too. Sardinia, Mt. Orab, Bethel....sigh. I should have known, it was after 3.
I got home, got my groceries carried in, then had to dry myself off. Yes, it was raining that hard. I got the groceries put away (I'm glad I do a better job with them than I do the laundry) and got on the pute to get my games caught up. I never did get any lunch, and now it's so late, I better not eat now or I won't eat any supper. I ate a nut bar to stave off any hunger pangs (or a sugar low) and settled in to wait for Ron to get home.
When he got home, we decided not to have a salad - it's just too chilly, what with the rain and all, so we scrounged through the cabinets. I was getting pretty hungry, so I finally said, "How about some biscuits and gravy?" and that was okay with him, and that's what we had. We each had five biscuits, and I had one cup of gravy and he had the rest.
We watched 'Bones' and then played mini-golf. We've got to stay in practice for this weekend! Ron went to bed, and I got back on the pute. I'm going to take the jar of sunflower seeds with me when I go to bed for a snack, because I know supper was a lot of carbs.
I put my food (already eaten and not yet) into MFP, and I am still almost 400 calories short for the day - because of my wonderful 'WalMart Walk.' - but that's not surprising at all.
Tomorrow, I'm off in the morning to let the vampires have at me, then we'll see - I may come home and take a nap! I do have more of those wonderful business phone calls to make. I really must quit putting them off.
