I woke up this morning around 9. As usual, I read a little bit, then got up. I had errands to run today, and wanted to get going and get them done. I thought about stopping and walking the Walk Path while I was out, also, but decided not to and didn't wear my gym shoes.
I did the errands around Bethel, then headed down to Amelia. Oh, what a glorious drive that was today! I saw that the phlox has bloomed, so the ground has pinks and purples here and there now, and the pink and purple trees have started blooming, too, so the drive down 125 was quite colorful! While seeing all the white things blooming, then yellow daffodils joining in, seeing the pinks and purples, with some red tulips thrown in every now and then was pretty darn cool, if I do say so myself. Quite enjoyable. Quite.
I got my errands finished, then decided to go to LaRosa's for my lunch, since I had gone that far down the road. I hadn't been there in a while, and it sure sounded good. I wasn't sure what to get, since they've added carrots (carrots!!) to their tuna salad, and I don't like their pizza sauce, but I'd find something. I finally went with a turkey hoagy, just as the menu says, which should be 360 calories (that's what the menu says, anyway). I didn't even add cheese, which I love, just so I knew what the calorie count was. Being lunch, I got the combo, which adds fries - not a whole basket, mind you, just some. I would have loved to get a basket of fries, but I resisted. Besides, then I wouldn't have gotten the lunch combo price....lol.
I sat there for an hour, enjoying my lunch and reading my book. My errands were done and there was no press of time on me at all, and I just sat and enjoyed. That waitress was probably so glad to see me go - I probably drank half a gallon of iced tea! I kept her on her toes, keeping my glass filled. Good thing I don't use a straw while out in public - can you imagine how fast I'd drink my tea if I used the straw? Tsk, tsk.
I got back home, played on the pute for a bit and caught my games and all up. Then I got out the Wii Balance Board and did about 40 minutes of Wii Training. I concentrated on exercise/aerobic type things today. Those burn a lot more calories, you know. than the balance games do. I did do a couple of the balance games, but just for fun more than for exercise.
Ron got home about 5:30, and he watched the weather (it's supposed to drop BELOW 40 tonight!), then put in his Spaghetti Western movies to watch while I go to my TOPS meeting. I leave at 6:30, as usual on Tuesday, and get up to my meeting.
I weigh in, and - not a surprise - have gained a pound and a half. Thanks, Easter Bunny Bawk Bawk!!
Only one person lost weight this week, out of ten of us weighing in. ONE. And HE lost less than a pound. We will definitely have to do better next week!
I wore my new T.G.I.F. T-Shirt, and three people told me they loved it! Donna told me she got that same shirt for Easter, too (so of course she liked it), and the other two wanted to know where I got it, but I just told them 'from the Easter Bunny' - it came in my basket. Cause I really don't know where it came from!
Boy, had the temperature dropped while I was in there! The wind had kicked up, too. There was quite a difference between walking in and leaving. Brrrr. And I hadn't even taken my jacket, either.
I got home from the meeting, made myself chicken noodle soup for my supper, then dived into my bowl of candy for my dessert. I had resisted it all day long, and I wasn't resisting any longer!
When I put my food into MFP, the turkey hoagy at LaRosa's came up all different sorts of numbers - the lowest of which was 418, so that's the one I finally clicked on to claim. I was pissed! The menu said that the turkey was only 360, so wasn't it listed here for 360? Oooooooh. 60 extra calories for nothing! I do believe, if I remember correctly, the chicken hoagy was around 420 calories, and the tuna hoagy was 480, but why did everyone NOT enter the turkey hoagy correctly? I didn't even give myself cheese, so I could have those 'less' calories, and then I got screwed out of them anyway! If I knew all the information, I'd enter it correctly, but I don't know all the other (fats, proteins, etc.) numbers, so I can't. Bummer, indeed!
I entered my soup for my supper, and then ballparked my candy, and I ended up just 75 calories short for the day. Still short, but it should have been 135 short, not just 75. Ugh. Makes a big difference in the long run. It does to me, anyway.
Nothing planned for tomorrow. If it isn't too windy, I may go out and take the eggs out of the trees. Maybe. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I might wait til the weekend, too. Ron and I are both thinking he's gonna have to work this weekend - big clean-ups going on - so, we'll see. Plus, I just may not feel like it. I do like to keep the holiday ambiance going on for a bit.
