Today started as my days usually do - with me waking around 10, reading a bit, then getting up around noon. I piddled around here in the house, doing the few dishes that were dirty from yesterday (it was, literally, 2 bowls, 2 spoons, a pan (pot - it was chili) and the pan's lid) and I used the pan as the 'sink' instead of running a sinkful of water for this little bit.
I had a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant (one of Ron's - my muffins are all gone) for my lunch today, then laid back down for a little while to read while I was eating. I got back up and did my exercises, upping my reps to 20. I walked on Monday and did housework all day yesterday, so this was my first chance to up the reps. I think I did pretty well with this - the only one I couldn't up was the one where you raise your feet about 6" off the ground and hold. I'm still stuck on 5 on that one. Man, does that hurt my gut!
I just played on the pute until Ron got home.
Ron got home right before 6, and we both got to work putting our Halloween stuff out in the front yard. He had to carry the barrel of stuff out to the front for me, as well as weed-eat around the front porch and sidewalk and do all of the electrical stuff (dragging out extension cords, etc.) and I put up an orange & black garland around the maple tree, using pushpins. We both sat up the hay bale 'scene' then he worked the extension cord out to it, and finagled the plugs from the plug-in things at either end to the back and figured all that out. I just arranged the scarecrows in/on top of the hay bale, and the pumpkins and non-light-up jack o'lanterns in the front.
As he worked with the extension cord and the jack o'lanterns by the front porch, I added some stickers to my BengalMobile, which I get great enjoyment doing. I find it hard to believe how much fun it is to place those stickers and see the results!
I came in and made supper. Tonight, it's hamburger patties, black beans, and tomatoes cut into chunks. The tomatoes were given to us by friends, and they are the last off their plants. They were yummy! Black beans aren't my favorites, but I had only bought beans that I thought I could stand, and I managed to get these down - they weren't as bad as I thought they would be, thank God.
We watched more Quantum Leap episodes as we ate our supper, and tonight Sam was a elderly black man in 1955, and that was very interesting...
When I put my food and exercise in MFP, I was only 100 - 101 to be exact - calories short for the day, so I didn't get hollered at. Hip, hip, hooray!
No plans for tomorrow - just a normal day here at home. I'll come up with something, I'm sure.
