'Tis the season...

Thursday, September 25, 2014

Today started as my days usually do.  I didn't want to get up too early, though, because I had no plans for today and a lot of hours to fill!  Once I got up, I did up the few dishes that were dirty, using the used cast iron skillet as my sink.  I also did a load of laundry - regular clothes this time.

I cracked open my Halloween tins and decorated here inside the house.  I had already hung up the wreaths, one on the front door and one in the kitchen window, so I had to set up my knick-knacks and set out the stuffies that I have collected over the years.  I really have no place to set them, and finally decided to set up a TV tray just for them, and that's what I did.  I put the stuffies in a pile on the floor in front of my desk, and that's gonna have to be good enough.  The jack o'lantern throw is on the back of Ron's recliner, and the wind chimes shaped like autumn leaves and the bell shaped like a witch are in the kitchen/living room doorway.  Whew - the Halloween decorating is done now.  Inside and Outside!

I take a break for lunch and to play on the pute.  I have a sausage biscuit - those little 2-packs.  So, really I have 3/4 of one, because I take the meat from one and put on the other and have a double meat sandwich.  I figure it's not so much bread that way.  After that, I've got to come up with something to kill some time
I got it!  I'll go wrap up the Christmas gifts that I have so far!  WhooHoo!  After about 100 trips in and out of the bedroom, getting the tape, getting the scissors, getting the to/from tags, getting the wrapping paper, getting a box to put the wrapped gifts in, etc., etc., I can finally get down to business.  I also have to write up pages in my notebook to keep track of these gifts as I go along, too, so it's not just wrap, wrap, wrap - it's write, wrap, write, wrap, write, wrap.  But I finally got done and got things put away.

I came back out and did my exercise repertoire.  Since I've upped my reps to 20, this takes me a little longer than it used to, and that's a good thing, I think.  I start my Physical Therapy tomorrow and I'll find out if what I've been doing is, or has been, good for me.
I got cheese weenies out of the freezer for our supper, and I just have to wait for Ron to get home to make supper - or, hopefully, he will want to go somewhere!
He gets home a little after 6:30, and doesn't want to go anywhere (of course), so it's cheese weenies, pork and beans, and tomatoes for us.  That's okay, I'm having lunch at Longhorn tomorrow - I'll get that yummy salad as my birthday treat after doing my thing at the DMV.  A few days early, but who's counting?

We watched the Bones season premiere as we ate supper, and I almost wished that I didn't - I was SO upset at the end of the show.  Ab-so-lute-ly pissed.  I turned the football game on as soon as the previews for next week's show (which pissed me off even more) were over.  And the football game isn't helping - it's not going the way I thought it was gonna go.  I may turn it off at the end of the 3rd quarter (maybe I'm jinxing the wrong team!).  Maybe.

I put my food and exercise in MFP, and I was less than 100 calories short for the day, so no snack tonight.  Phooey.

Planning on being at the DMV at 10, so I'll set the alarm when I go to bed.  Then lunch at Longhorn, probably with my friend Bert, if not both Bert and Teresa.  I have to text Teresa in the morning and see how she feels, as tomorrow is HER birthday.  Then PT, then shopping on the way home - always supposing that I feel like it.  If not, I'll have to wait until Saturday to do my shopping.
