A productive day. A day to feel good about!

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

I woke this morning and read for a little over an hour, then got up, got dressed and went uptown.  I had to buy the milk that I was donating to the church for the kitchen (for the Craft Show), and the cooking of the soups was starting today, so they needed the milk today.  They put on one heck of a lunch for the public (and the crafters love that they don't have to go anywhere!) and I am happy to do what little I can, even if I can't stay and help.

I came back home, where my big plans for the day got started.  I am starting my baking (and non-baking, as in the Oreo balls) for the Bake Sale, which is a big part of the Craft Show.  I have the no-bakes, which are finally set.  I baked a dozen Pumpkin Muffins, and made the Oreo Balls dough.  I also got all of the ingredients assembled for the baking I still have to do - the real baking.  I am making a cookie called Caramel Gift(s), which is a sugar cookie-like cookie, with a caramel baked in the center as a surprise when you bite into it.  Where you pinch the dough together on the top can be decorated with icing (a bow) so it looks like a gift, too.  I am also going to make sugar cookies that look like footballs, just like I make for my Super Bowl party.  That should get the Bake Sale table started!
In the midst of all this, I had my lunch - chicken salad and walnuts - while taking a break and playing on the pute.  I also did my exercises, even marching in place for 10 whole minutes today!  Most of the time, I only last 7 or 8 minutes, but today I lasted the whole 10 minutes - that was a pleasant surprise to myself!

When Ron texted me, I was ready to walk out to meet him.  I was so ready to DO something physical.  I quickly got my gym shoes and my jacket on, and went out the door.  Oh, no!  It's raining!  Crappy, drizzling rain, so I had to get my umbrella out of the car, as well as my walking stick.  Time, time, time.  Now I feel as though I have to rush.  I walked a little faster than I usually do, and I felt good doing so!  I got to the curves - around the first one - before I met Ron, and I was glad about that.  Once again, I saw his headlights coming, so I stopped walking because I knew he was almost there.

We got back home, and watched Quantum Leap, then we had supper.  I made myself a ham and egg sandwich, and Ron just had a ham sandwich.  We watched Family Feud until I had to leave for my Altar Society meeting.
After the meeting, I watched Criminal Minds, and now, here I am.

Nothing on the agenda tomorrow except more baking, finishing the Oreo Balls, and, as always, lots of breaks for playing on the pute!
