The last day of November - watch out, world, here comes December! Are you ready?
I didn't sleep well last night. I'm not sure why, but I didn't even turn off my light until after 1, then I woke up at 3 something and never really fell back asleep after that. Some little dozy sleep, but not a real deep sleep, so today has been a fight to stay awake.
Other than that, it's been a normal Sunday: church, lunch, football.
I was lector at church this morning, and the other person (the second lector) didn't show up, so I ended up reading both of the readings. I have been not using my walking stick when I know the terrain, and I was pretty proud of myself, getting around church - even the one step up to the lectern - without it. A few people even told me that I was getting around really well, too! It sure made me feel good. December 4th will be 7 months, but it feels like forever sometimes.
We went to Georgetown to Country Inn for our lunch. Ron got his fried chicken, and I got the big breakfast. Man, was it good! Then home for football. I did miss kickoff, which is nothing new, but we got home at about 5 after 1, so I didn't miss much. It was a pretty exciting game, with us winning by only 1 point. Crazy! I did really good with my football picks, too - I had missed 1 on Thursday, and I only missed 1 on the early games today. WhooHoo! Then I missed 1 of the late games, too, so I've missed a total of 3 games for the week, and there are only 2 games left. Sigh. It'd be nice to win a nice big football pool for a change, but I'm not holding my breath.
Ron went outside to work during the late games, and (for some reason) checked the mail. I don't know why we didn't yesterday, but we didn't, and - lo and behold - we have received our first Christmas card! It just reminds me that there is something else I need to do...
Ron made cheese weenies for our supper. He ate the rest of the pasta salad with his, and I had potato chips with mine.
Tomorrow - back to the same ol', same ol'. Happy Homemaker Day, and decorating for Christmas here in the house.
