My busy, busy day with little eating. That wasn't planned!

The alarm blared me awake at 6 this morning, which was way too early, especially seeing that I didn't get to bed til after midnight, and then didn't get to sleep til after 1.  Made for not-very-much sleep, but it is what it is, and I can't change it now.
I got up, got dressed, and went to leave.  Guess what was on my beautiful car?  Yep, beautiful snow!  Not very much, but it was there - made a pretty white line down the edge when I ran the wipers.
I got uptown - the snow was just mixed in with rain, it wasn't anything bad - and met the others, and we went on to the TOPS rally in Lebanon.  As we pulled in to the place where the rally was held and was getting out of the car, the snow started really showering down instead of just being mixed in with the rain.  It was really pretty!

The TOPS rally was neat - it was much better than the one I went to last year - but my back wasn't very happy with me.  I was okay for awhile, but then the sitting and sitting and sitting (why don't they have a break?!) just got to me.  Even though I got up and walked around, it just wasn't enough, or it was too little too late.  I'm not sure which, but once my back started aching, it never did stop.  We finally got a break, but it was only long enough to eat a nut bar, not long enough to have any kind of real food for a lunch.
The meeting ran over a little, but that was alright, we were out of there by 2.  I wasn't going to start worrying until 3.  That's what I kept telling myself.

We made it back home in plenty of time, and once I got all the way home, I started to pack up the cookies I made last night (the cookies I stayed up last night making!) and the damn no-bake cookies hadn't set!  Dammit dammit sunny beach!  Ron had got a box of chicken legs at the deli in IGA, and I ate 3 of those while laying on the bed for half an hour, then came out to deal with the cookie issue.  The no-bakes had been in the fridge all night (and all day today), so I don't know why they didn't set, but they didn't.  I decided to just take Girl Scout cookies out of the freezer, even though we were supposed to be taking home-made cookies.  Que sera, sera.

We got up to church and that all happened, and I made it memorable for the people - I read the wrong reading!  I read the reading for All Saint's Day instead of for All Soul's Day, which is what we were celebrating.  Hey, if you do something, do it right!  Nothing like a big ol' brain fart....sigh.
The cookies and punch after the service was a big success, and people were taking small plates and napkins full of cookies out (home) with them.  That makes us feel good!
Ron and I went to Frisch's with our friends from church, John and Beverly.  We had an enjoyable time, just sitting there chatting and taking our time.  He had the disgusting turkey burger with fries and I had the open-face turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy.
We came home and started watching Quantum Leap, and here I am on the pute.

Tomorrow will be an abnormal Sunday.  Instead of church, lunch, football, it's only gonna be lunch and football.  AND my brother has agreed to meet us for lunch!  He warned me that I better NOT BE LATE!!!  It will be nice to have lunch with him and his wife for a change!  And to prove to him that he can come to lunch and get back in time to watch the game.....
