Getting it done so I can go away...

Happy Birthday to my brother David!
David is child number 5 - and he is 52 this year.  His is the last birthday of the year, now that Daddy is gone.
There are six of the eight in their 50s now!!

Today was pretty much a normal day, except that I had to rush to get things finished so that I can leave with an easy mind tomorrow.  I had to get the Altar Society things finished up, get my 31 party closed, finish up the dishes and laundry around here, as well as finishing the packing (toiletries, etc.) that I could - I do still need stuff tomorrow morning - so it was rush, rush, rush all day long.  I also had to go out and brush all the snow off of Ron's truck, so that I could drive it today.  Man, what a job that was.  I am not tall enough to reach the windshield or anything, so I can just brush it with the broom.  I took the remote off the keyring, then started it and let it run for half an hour, locking it when I went back in the house.  I am not as dumb as I look!  Voila - the windshield was clear!

I went to leave to meet Pam to close out my 31 party, and discovered that our banking was messed up, so I had to make a side trip to Georgetown - which is in the wrong way.  Won - der - ful!
I made it to the meeting with Pam, and got that done, and got myself some lunch - at 4 in the afternoon - at the Bob Evans down in Cherry Grove, which is where we were meeting.  I had the half sandwich combo, getting the turkey bacon melt sandwich and a loaded baked potato.  I figured that would be my only meal today, so it would all work out.
I had asked Josh to meet me at my house after work, and I had to rush to get there not long after he did - and the traffic lights didn't help me on the way home!  Damn red lights.  He helped me figure out the things (answered the questions) I was worried about on my tablet, since I was leaving and didn't want to have to ask him long-distance, and then he left for him.  He gave me a big hug before leaving, and that was nice!

Ron, who had taken my car again today, got home around quarter after 6.  It was good to see him before going to my TOPS meeting.  I don't always get to, and this week, every minute we get to see each other is precious.
Going to my meeting, I weigh in, and am glad to see that I have lost weight - around a pound and a half!  WhooHoo!  <happy dance!>  I had been a little worried, after "just" eating, but I guess it turned out okay...

I get back home, and get right back into the finishing touches.  Good thing I have my list to go by and know what still needs to be done.  I love crossing things off of lists!

But I am mostly ready, and will be ready in the morning.  I HAVE to be!

I will talk to you all when I get back - enjoy the peace and quiet.  I will be enjoying the peace and quiet of the Smoky Mountains.  I will miss Ron, but he will survive.  He's a strong man.
Love you all, and many blessings are wished to you.
