Not-so-Happy Homemaker Day

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

I woke up this morning a little after 6.  SIX!  I don't know why, just boom, I was awake.  I played on my tablet, catching my games up, then let myself go back to sleep.  I didn't wake back up until a got a phone call right around 11.  So, I guess I had needed a bit more sleep - but why did I wake up in the first place, then?  I never did figure that out.
After talking on the phone (it was my friend Teresa), I read a bit, played on the tablet a bit, then finally got up around 12:30, and jumped right into Happy Homemaker mode.  I got a load of laundry going, and started in on the dishes that covered the counter and the stove.

To top it all off, my back ached and ached all day - it never did ease.  Standing and doing the dishes didn't help much, doing my exercises didn't help much, sitting at my desk (both playing on the pute and putting together Corgan's 10th birthday photo album) didn't help.  It was awful!  I think that I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but after this, the first time temps have really dropped pretty low (down into the high 20s-low 30s), I am NOT looking forward to winter at all.  As a matter of fact, now I am worried about it!
I also didn't eat any lunch.  I just wasn't hungry all day.  Not at all.  I just kept busy with the dishes (and checking the laundry), ending up draining the first sinkful of water, and running a second sinkful of hot water.  And I still didn't get all of the pans done!  There are still a few sitting out there, waiting for me to finish up tomorrow.  Ugh.

At 4:30, I got dressed, so when Ron texted me, I could walk out to meet him without losing time, which I did.  Even though he didn't text until going on 6, I was mostly ready, so I got to the curves, which was pretty good, considering.
When we got back, we watched Quantum Leap, finishing the third season.  Then we made our suppers - a frozen Chinese thing for him, and a can/bowl of chicken noodle soup with a peanut butter & orange marmalade sandwich for me - and then we started in on the fourth season.  Having finally eaten something, I found that now I was hungry!  I ate an ice cream bar for 'dessert.'
We watched QL until 9, when I watched Criminal Minds, then Ron went to bed and I came back over and got back on the pute.

No plans for tomorrow at this point, and I guess that's a good thing.
