Ron and I stayed home today, waiting for Corgan to get dropped off. Of course, Ron got up way before I did, and when I woke up, I laid in bed and read for a bit before getting up. He, of course, was sitting out in the living room watching TV through his eyelids. Silly man. He could have been in bed with me, but - no, the TV is much more appealing, don'tcha know? Oh, well - his choice.
I do my weigh-in on the Wii, and I have lost three more pounds! Three! Yay! I am happy about that, because I have not been putting myself out so much for exercise this week. As a matter of fact, since riding that damn exercise bike the other day, I've only gotten walking (and clearing my car of ice) in as exercise, except for the fun of Ruth's driveway the other day. I don't think my heart has recovered from that yet, either. Not necessarily the work of it, but seeing her fall and all. It was heart-stopping, if you know what I mean - seeing your older sister go down - TWICE - and not being able to help her back up. Man.
Anyway, I just get on the pute and play my games and such. They finally drop Corgan off a little after three. They go on to where they are going for the night (which is why we have him tonight) and here the three of us are for the day.
Corgan, of course, like any good 9-year-old boy, commandeers the TV from his grandpa and watches some TV, plays some Wii, pretty much does what he wants, as usual. At least 'Most Stupid' isn't on today. He has found some wild man show on instead. Yay (yes, that is sarcastic).
Ron goes to church tonight, because when we have Corgan on Sunday mornings, we both can't go. If you don't know that story, please let me know and I'll explain it to you. I will go to church in the morning, and then we'll all three go to lunch/breakfast, and while we're out, they will pick Corgan up - at least, that's the plan as I've been told it. We shall see. If not, they'll pick him up at home after we get back.
After Ron gets home from church, we go outside to play for a bit. To put it a little better, Corgan played and Ron and I stood there and watched him. It was quite fun, really. Corgan got to the creekline every time he went down the hill on the sled! Every time. This ice/snow was great to sled on! It was a little on the scary side to see him going that fast toward the creekline, but he was very aware of where it was, so we knew he would stop in time. But, man, did he ever scoot down that hill f.a.s.t.!! He also tried 'snowboarding' down the hill with his little homemade snowboard. He made it himself from an old skateboard, and he said that it worked just fine at home. It did NOT work here. But it was fun watching him try.
The guys will probably go out tomorrow, while I am gone to church. During daylight - may make some difference, may not. Maybe he can see what he's doing different or something.
We came in and made us some supper. Ron had one of his Chinese things and the leftover beans, and Corgan and I each had two packages of sausage biscuits. We are living big, aren't we? Corgan watched a couple episodes of Mythbusters, and then it's back to the wild man crap. Sigh. Please. Give me dead guys any day of the week.
After a bit, Ron and I split a bag of microwave popcorn and I, of course, had milk with mine.
I went to MFP and did all that - I finally figured out why it's hollering at me at 300 calories short for the day, too. It's because I lowered my calorie count. Having a lower calorie count, and still being that much short, it's much worse for me (not getting the 'nutrition' I need), so it hollers at me sooner. So, now I need to figure out how to rearrange my eating once again. I am looking forward to Spring, so we can go back to salads more often. I like warm foods too much right now.
And, yes, I was 300 calories short again today. 311, to be exact.
This winter sure is beautiful. I love the ice sculptures we have been given to enjoy this past week, and will miss them as and when they crack and crackle away. I enjoy watching my grandson play in the snow. I think it all very picturesque. I just look and look out the windows whenever possible. Oh, the grandeur! I really love that this winter has been a true winter - we haven't had one in a quite a few years.
But I do miss the salads, isn't that strange? I know I'm strange, you don't have to tell me.
