A peaceful Sunday

Sunday, February 9, 2014

Today has been a very peaceful day.  We all need those every once in a while, don't we?

It started with my getting up and going to church by myself.  Ron stayed at home with Corgan, as I did last night, as I did while he went to church.
After church, they met me up at Frisch's for breakfast/lunch, which we ate with some friends of ours.  We spent a very nice hour, hour and a half there, waiting to hear from Josh & Chelle.  I enjoyed a Big Boy sandwich and a bowl of chili, with six crackers (3 packages).  Ron had the turkey burger with fries, and Corgan had the breakfast bar.

We came home, and Josh, Chelle, and Jean met us here, instead of picking Corgan up as I had thought they were going to.  After spending a little bit of time here, they all left and it was me and Ron and our dead guys on TV for the rest of the day.

Around 6:30, we went to make some supper.  After looking around, we finally decided on hamburgers and macaroni & cheese.  Ron made it while I found something different on the TV - all these dead guys, mostly reruns, were getting depressing, believe it or not.  I turned on game shows - The Newlywed Game - and Ron and I giggled along with that for a little while, until time for the Beatles tribute show.

We watched that, and OH, IT WAS EXCELLENT!!!!!  I can't wait til it comes out on DVD!!!!  I will certainly be getting it - or, at least, hoping it finds its way into my Easter Basket!  They did an a most superb job with it.  Having the clips of the Beatles singing/playing a song, then the segue into a group/singer covering it now.  It was very, very well done.  Seeing Paul and Ringo singing along with all the people covering their songs was a thrill, too.  It sent shivers up and down my spine, just seeing them enjoy their own music so much.  And to see all those people, along with those two, dancing and shimmying to the music, was a blast!
If you missed it, I don't know what to say to you.  You missed a fantastic show.

As I got back on the pute, and put my food into MFP (I ended up less than 100 short for today, so I didn't get hollered at), I turned the station to TBN to watch 'Jesus of Nazareth' so I think my Sunday is complete.
