Getting everything ready for tomorrow...

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

Today, like yesterday, I slept until almost noon even though I went to bed - and to sleep - 'early' for me.  It is a strange thing occurring right now, but I can't worry about it, I can only assume that this is what my body needs.  This will also change tomorrow!  I must get up and get things together, so I can leave when I am supposed to.  I have big plans tomorrow, and I can't let others down, now, can I?

Once I woke up, though, I laid in bed and read, finishing my book, so I really didn't get up until close to one o'clock.  One o'clock!!  How decadent is that?  But, as I've said before, when I have nothing pressing to get up for, why not?  All I had on the books for today was a meeting tonight at 7, so...

Once I got up, I piddled around the house, getting things together for tomorrow, and I decided to make us a little something, so I had to run uptown to buy stuff to make this treat.  I could have changed my mind, but I'm not a stubborn Schmidt for no reason.  So, off I go uptown.  After going to the store, I went to the car wash - where I was the only car in line for the automatic car wash!  I was quite surprised by that, I thought for sure there would be a pretty long line.  But, I got in and through it and on my way back home really quickly, and I was glad for that.  It gave me more time to spend making the stuff I want to make!

I get home, check the mail before coming in, and Ron and I have mail from our grandson.  Okay, what is this? I am thinking and open it - oh, look!  He has sent us Valentines!!  How sweet!  I 'open' mine, and set Ron's to the side, so he can 'open' (they were 'closed' with Disney stickers) his own. I went on and made the stuff I was planning on making, and then Ron is home.  I ate a bowl of chicken noodle soup (yes, that's the first thing I've eaten today) for my supper, then I went to the meeting I had on the calendar.  I have no idea what Ron had for supper, probably one of his frozen Chinese things.  When I got home from the meeting (at which I ate a handful of Munchos and a couple small lemon bar type cookies), I ate a banana, fixed a vegetable tray for tomorrow, and told Ron about our mail, and he opened his Valentine.  They are now on the fridge.  <3

As we watched TV (a repeat of the Beatles show from the other night LOL), I made us some microwave popcorn, and had mine with milk.  So, when I put my food, such as it was, into MFP, I was 1000+ calories short for the day.  Yep, MFP hollered at me.  But, it is what it is.  That's what today happened to be.  We'll see how tonight goes.  It's only midnight, but I'm tired and ready for bed already.  Strange, but there it is.
