Enjoying my stuck-at-home day

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

I took pictures out the front and back doors of the ice last night around midnight before I went to bed.  The maple tree in the front yard was all bent around and stuff, like it was in pain.  The branches nearly touched the ground from the ice encasing the branches.  The back door itself had a sheet of ice on it, too, but I couldn't figure out how to take a decent picture of that.  The back door!

I went on to bed, and slept decently.  I did wake up to go pee as Ron as getting ready to leave.  I ended up staying awake until Ron called me to say that he had made it in okay.  Then, because of being awake in 'the middle of the night' like that, I ended up sleeping until damn close to noon.  Which is okay, because I have no reason to be up, anyway.  But I really shouldn't be sleeping so late, because that makes me not want to go to bed that night...
What a vicious circle that starts to be.

I got up, took a bunch of pictures of the ice through the windows and just out of doors and stuff - I didn't dare really going outside by myself! After that, I did very little all day.  I put beans on for our supper tonight.  I played on the pute, although I did ride the damn exercise bike a little bit today - not very long, my legs just couldn't handle it and my heart was beating pretty good, too.  I really must get back into the swing of getting on that damn thing.  I wasn't really ever hungry, but munched on a nut bar for my 'lunch.'

Josh stopped in on his way home from work - at about 2:30.  They had lost power, so everyone got to go home early for a change.  He is my quasi-compute dude, and when I have small problems, he does what he can for me.  So, I had to get off of the pute, so he could do his magic.  While he was here, I went outside.  To 'check the mail' you know, but I had the camera with me and it took me about twenty minutes to walk out to the mailbox and back.  LOL

After Josh left, and I could finally get back on the pute, I had fun with all the pictures I took, as well as ones I had received from some of my siblings in other places of their yards.  Boy, let me tell you - this was some storm!

After Ron got home, we had the aforementioned beans for our supper, and I went all-out and made biscuits to go with them.  Because I hadn't eaten a real lunch, I had a nice big helping of them, and three biscuits, which I slathered quite generously with butter.

When I put all my food into MFP, I was under my calorie goal by just 69, but, by golly, I was under!  I'll take it!

Looking forward to getting out a little tomorrow - I sure hope I'll be able to get into my car.  That might be a job and a half.  Ugh.
