Well, I put my back through a workout and a half today, but I suppose it was worth it. I'll let you know tomorrow...
It all started with a phone call. I was planning on going down the road and going shopping today, and that was pretty much it, but one of my friends called this morning and reminded me that today is/was a Holy Day of Obligation, and Mass starts at noon. Well, Change of Plans right off the bat! Yipes! I got up and got the dishes done so that they aren't sitting there over the weekend, turned the green beans in the crockpot on, and waited for Josh and Chelle to get here, because they were on their way before going out to go car shopping. I was counting the minutes because I hadn't told them about having to go to church, and they weren't hurrying.
I got to church, just a few minutes late, but I got there. Afterward, we went to lunch. We were going somewhere up here in Bethel (Kel's), but they were closed, so we decided to go to Bob Evans. I had the chicken-n-noodles, over mashed potatoes, and with banana nut bread. I haven't had that in a long, long time and it was very good!
When lunch was over, I went to Kroger to get Ron's tonic water, then back to WalMart to do my real shopping. I didn't get out of WalMart (and, yes, I did a real WalMart walk, even if it was slow) until almost 4. Man, was I moving slow by then!
When I got home, my car was there! Chelle has driven it there, and Josh was driving there NEW (to them) car behind her, and he just wasn't there yet. <<happy dance>> My car is home!! My car is home!!
We all carried in our groceries, I put away the refrigerator stuff, added the (canned) potatoes to the green beans, and then Ron and I spent a while checking out their car. It's a dark blue 2010 Malibu, four door, and I think it'll do just fine! I'm glad they found something, and I'm glad they were able to get financing as easily as they did.
They left, and I came in and laid down for a little while while Ron and Corgan played around outside. At 8, I got back up and, luckily, they were starting to close down the garage. A late supper, but a very good supper!
Corgan is watching his Most Stupid shows tonight, and they are driving me crazy. I had a string cheese while playing here on the pute, and I am done for the night.
Good night, all.
Looking forward to driving my car somewhere tomorrow!
