8/6

Today was pretty much a normal day.  I got up three or four times, playing on the pute and having my lunch, putting chicken breasts into the crockpot for supper, and later on doing my exercises.  For lunch, I had a ham and egg sandwich, with two slices of Colby Jack cheese on it also.
The highlight of the day was when I had such a strong urge to "go check the mail"  "Go Check The Mail"  "Go Check The Mail, Rita!"  "RITA - GO CHECK THE MAIL" so I finally did, and I did, and I had my new bras!!  Finally!!  I had to come right back in and try one on!  It fit!  IT FIT!  Oh, glory hallelujah, it fit!  You do not know how much of a relief it is to get into a bra of this size - you just do not know.  I don't think - I don't remember - wearing a bra of this size as I was 'growing up' (and out) and this is such a thrill for me!

When Ron got home, I made the rest of supper, which was mashed (fake) potatoes and green beans.  After supper, I had an Altar Society meeting to go to.  This is the first meeting I've gone to since this back issue, so this is a big deal for me, also, but everything went fine, so I was glad about that.  TOPS last night and Altar Society tonight - I am getting back into the swing of things.  And, yes, I drove myself.

Putting my food into MFP, I had plenty of calories left over, so I put in for a snack of popcorn and milk, and MFP still hollered at me.  Bah!

8/7

Today is a day I've been looking forward to!  Not gonna be a good food day, calorie-wise, but it's gonna be a great food day, eating-wise!  First of all, I went to lunch with my friend Debbie to Gold Star.  She helped her mother get her disability, and she offered to look over what I have done, etc., and give some advice and answer some questions, so she came and picked me up and off we went.  She doesn't get to go to the chili dump with her family - they don't like chili that much - so it was a real treat for her.  She got a 4-way, and I got my 5-way with a coney, and we had a very nice lunch.  SO nice, we didn't leave for over 2-12 hours!  She was a lot of help with the disability thing, agreeing with me on most of it, and with pointers on some other things.  She also goes to my church, so we also talked about the church, some ministries, and (of course) some people we both know.  She also told me that quite a few people mentioned to her how awed? proud? amazed? (insert your own word) they were the week I came back to church and did the readings.  That the fact I gimped my way up to the lectern and did that was so inspiring....
I was quite surprised - I had just seen it (being on the schedule as lector that week) as a "why not?" reason to go back to church that week!  Something like that makes you (one) wonder why people don't say those kind of things to YOU!  Anyway, Debbie and I had a very nice time, and I didn't even have to squirm too much.  When we got back here, we walked around the yard and she looked at all my flowers and plants outside and we talked some more about all that kind of stuff.  It was a very pleasant outing!
She left, I came in and laid down until 5:30, then I got up and did my exercises.

Ron got home just before 6.  He quickly took a shower and changed his clothes, and we left to meet our friend Laura for supper over at FeedMill in Felicity at 6:30.  Yep, we are eating out for supper tonight, also!  We sat over there with Laura for almost 2 hours, and caught up with her - we haven't seen her all summer!  The last time we saw her was at the Quarter Auction, so we had quite a bit of catching-up to do.  Ron had spaghetti & meatballs, with garlic bread for his meal.  I had the 'cold plate,' which is supposed to be one scoop each of chicken salad, tuna salad, and cottage cheese.  I don't like cottage cheese, so I had an extra scoop of tuna salad instead.  Man, it was good, but I couldn't finish it all - I had to bring home some of the tuna.  It will make a nice lunch!

I put my lunch into MFP, but I think I am conveniently forgetting to put my supper in.
Lunch tomorrow with my friend Kathy!  This is the re-schedule, and it's supposed to rain, so I've got to get up and take Ron to work.  Ugh.  But, okay, it will be worth it!

My Bengals are on TV tonight.  It's the first preseason game.  I don't usually watch preseason, but I am watching until I go to bed (as soon as I am done here) and the game is totally ludicrous.  Run this way, now run that way.  Over 50 points have been scored already, and it's not even halftime yet.  Ridiculous - and that's why I don't watch preseason.
