My day started as usual - for a weekday - by waking up around 10. I usually get to sleep 'in' on a Saturday, with Ron and Corgan being outside and all that, but I woke up at that time and that was it. No more sleep for me. Phooey.
I went uptown just before noon, because my fellow classmates (and I) had a 'ice bucket' challenge planned for today before we realized that today was part of the holiday weekend and there were twenty thousand other plans going on this weekend already. We had to cancel our plans, but I went up to the school, just in case someone missed the message that the cancellation happened. I sat up there until 10 after, and no one else showed up, so I guess everyone did get the message, and that's a good thing!
I went back home, and played around on the pute for a bit, and Corgan and I played cards again, too. I managed to eat 3 slices of Colby Jack cheese for my lunch somewhere along in here, too.
Then I had to go back uptown again to meet someone to purchase Corgan a birthday gift. (I belong to a yard sale website on Facebook, and I found this 'gift' on there.) Back uptown I went, and sat there waiting for her to show up, and when she did, she surprised me, because she walked up to the car instead of pulling in beside me in her car! That transaction complete, I went back home again, hiding Corgan's gift from him to hide it in my room.
Corgan and I did my little exercise routine - I was surprised that he wanted to do my exercises with me, but he did - and he stayed with me the whole time (I thought he'd get bored and quit)!
Then, I used this time to lie down for a bit, to rest my back, because I still have to go back uptown one more time about 4:30 - I am giving a speech at church tonight (and again in the morning, too) for the Altar Society. I got to lie down about 45 minutes, before duty called and I had things to do before getting ready to go back uptown.
I got up to church in plenty of time, and made my little speech at the proper time, and I had a few people tell me after Mass that it was a good speech. I am hoping so, and I am hoping that it 'does its job' and gets us a few more women to be more active, which is the objective. We sure need it!
I had left instructions for Ron to make the rest of supper at a certain time while I was gone, so hopefully I can come home to supper. Well, I was almost successful. He cooked the cheese weenies, but didn't make any kind of starch to go with it, so we just had cheese weenies and corn on the cob. The last of the corn on the cobs I was given at my TOPS meeting last week, and they were starting to get dry, so we had to eat them this weekend, no doubt about it. They weren't the tastiest, but they were okay. I finished up with an ice cream and a nut bar, cause I was still hungry.
When I put my food and exercise in MFP, I had plenty of room, so I put in for a snack of popcorn and milk, which I will have when I go to bed, or 10, whichever comes first.
I'm ready for my day of rest tomorrow!
