Feeling better, and a boost at the end of the day

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

I was woken up today by Ron calling me to find out if I was okay.  I said yeah, why and he said, "Because it's one o'clock and I haven't heard from you yet!"  ONE O'CLOCK!!  I couldn't believe it!!  Hopefully, I have slept this not-feeling-good stuff out of me now.
But - I am not hungry, and I even forgot to make me my normal cup of tea before I went down the road to pick up Ron's prescription, and making my tea is what I do every day, first thing, as soon as I get up, after a pit stop.  And I FORGOT.  Something isn't right inside my brain, that's for sure.

As I got to Amelia, I reached for my tea, which is what made me realize that I hadn't made any.  After calling myself a few names, I decided to drive on down to Dunkin Donuts for a tea (they have the best for the best price!), so I did that, and I got myself a couple donuts for my 'lunch' while I was there, also.  Probably not the best choice in the world, but the way my stomach has been, I thought if something sounded good, I best go with it.  I set the bag on the seat, then got back to Walgreen's, got that done, and then munched on my donuts while on my way home.  I was all the way to Bethel before I got the second one finished.  Definitely something not right in my brain!  Who in their right mind takes that long to eat two donuts?

I got back home, spent the rest of the afternoon on the pute, and when Ron got home, he was all fussing over me.  Asking me about how I felt, did I eat, was I gonna eat supper before my TOPS meeting, all that, on and on and on.  I was glad I was leaving soon - he drives me crazy when he's like that.  I guess I'm more used to taking care of him, instead of the other way around.

I went to my TOPS meeting.  Did my weigh-in.  I thought that I may have done okay this week, seeing that I haven't felt so well these last couple of days, but I haven't done much exercise, either, so I wasn't sure.  But - ta da! - I lost FOUR pounds!  <happy dance>  I ended up being Loser of the Week!  Then, since it is the last Tuesday of February, the Loser of the Month was announced also:  Rita O'Toole!!  Yep, I won that one also!  I was shocked about that.  When we weigh in, if we have gained, we put a quarter for each pound into the bank, and the Loser of the Month wins the bank at the end of the month.  I counted my bank when I got home, and I won $9.25!!  Oh, that will come in so handy, you just don't know.

I made myself some supper, and it was the same as last night, except that Ron ate all the Italian bread, so I had to have our regular bread, the Aunt Millie's Diet Potato Bread, with peanut butter on it, with chicken noodle soup.  Then I had 16 pieces of peanut butter M&Ms.  I'm glad that bag is almost empty, too!  Ron helps a lot there.

Just so you know, I have officially lost thirty pounds since I joined TOPS.  Forty since writing blogs and doing myfitnesspal.com, and thirty since joining TOPS.  Yay, me!

I was about 350 calories short for the day on MFP, which is okay with me,  but I hope I am hungry when I wake up tomorrow.
