Today started out a little different than most Sundays, but turned normal soon enough. Then got a bet weird again, then back to normal. HA! Great last day of vacation for Ron - why not?
We started by getting up around 8:30, getting showers, and hitting the road by 9 to go up to Georgetown and see my sister in the hospital. They gave her two units of blood last night and overnight, and was waiting for the doctor to come in to make a decision for today's happenings. She had a LOT better color, so I was optimistic for her chances of going home. We had to be at church at 10:30, so we didn't get to stay a real long time, but we had a nice visit.
We went to church, and then after that, decided to go to Wal-Mart (to get the stuff that IGA was out of last night, as well as other sundries we needed) before going to Campbell's Barn for lunch because my Bengals weren't on until the late afternoon game (they were playing in San Diego), so we had a little leeway on the usual time restraint for a Sunday. Thus - normal, weird, normal. Church, shopping, Football. Too funny! I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries for my lunch. Ron got his chicken dinner.
We got home around 2:30, and then it's Football Time, and that was that for the day. It became a normal Sunday, and we quite enjoyed our last day of his vacation. And then my Bengals WON!! They don't win very often on the west coast, and they don't win the week after their bye week, so this win was a very pleasant surprise!
I had been boiling the turkey bones over the last couple of days, and I finally made my turkey and noodles today for our supper - not that Ron will eat such a 'one-pan' meal - and boy, was it good! Of course, while eating mine, I found little dinky bones in it. I always do. I never get them all out. I think that I do, but...
When I put all food into MFP, I am over on calories - I know, surprise, right? - by just over 200. I can live with that.
I am giving the food five stars today anyway - it was delicious! Exercise is getting five stars, too - nothing like a WalMart walk to get the blood flowing through the body...
