Today started way too early. I was up last night (with Corgan) until 1:30. Well, he made it til a little after midnight, when a new Mythbusters show started, and I let the whole show finish before turning off the TV and making him go to bed - which he did, fully clothed and on top of the bedding. Silly boy! But at least he was in the bed and not in the recliner, I suppose. Then I went on to bed, read a bit, then off to snoozeland.
Well, guess what time I woke up this morning? SEVEN!! I just couldn't believe it. Seven. I tried to snooze some more, but it didn't work, and I was up by eight thirty. Sheesh.
We decided to make us all some breakfast, so we got bacon and sausage out of the freezer and Ron cooked them on the griddle. Corgan wanted to cook the eggs on the stove, in a cast-iron skillet, and he did cook the first two (before Ron had even gotten the meat started!), and made a total mess of them. First of all, he didn't warm up the pan, then he broke the yolks, then he tried to turn them over before they were ready - oh, you get the picture. Anyway, they were done enough, but way too early, and he ate them before anything else has cooked. By the time everything else was done, he said he was hungry and wanted 'real' eggs and would Grandpa make him some on the griddle, too? We laughed. We had tried to tell him, but he had wanted so bad to be the one to make the eggs. Poor little fella.
We all enjoyed our breakfast together then.
One of our good friend's daughter's 3rd birthday party is today. Steve is my son's best friend, and we've always called him our 'second son,' so this makes Evie kinda our 'second granddaughter.' She just totally loves the Disney princesses - her favorite is Belle - and, thus, a Princess Party today. We don't get to see them nearly as often as we'd like, since they live on the other side of Cincinnati now, but it was certainly worth the drive for the party today. Brandy did a very good job getting all this together. Steve may have helped her, but I know darn well she did the bulk of it! The food, the cake, the Princess decorations and all - it was all great! Josh, Chelle, and Jean met us in Amelia - we were getting the oil changed in the truck while we had the chance - and we all rode together, as there is not a lot of room in their driveway. Chelle had opened this morning, and was tired, so we only stayed around 2-1/2 to 3 hours, so she could get home and get some rest.
Then, Ron and I went Christmas shopping! I couldn't believe that he actually agreed to go, but he did!
We went over to Meijer's and wandered around and around there. A couple hours and a four sore feet later, we were as done as we could be for tonight. We decided to go to Roney's (formerly Roy Roger's) for a bite to eat - we don't get over there very often - before heading home. We both knew this day's "counts" for food - calories for me, sodium for him - was shot to hell, what with breakfast, the birthday party and now supper, so why not? Oh, how we enjoyed it!
Damn, do I love those Double Rs!! Sorry, Lucky Rs now.
I had already made the decision that I was going to "forget" to do my MFP tonight. All the little bits and pieces from the birthday party are just too hard to put in there, and I'm lazy. LOL
I certainly got my exercise today. Might not be official exercise, but by golly, it was exercise! So exercise is gonna get four stars, and so is food. I'm sure I was over on calories, but damn was it good! Even the birthday cake!
